And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciledin the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight

Colossians 1:21-22

Man was created perfect; but he submitted himself to the devil´s lies and became completely lost in error. The same happens with many believers that don’t realize that they were born again in Christ, justified, and made innocent. Although they were created without any fault, unfortunately many times the master of delusion deceives them and they fall into Satan´s hands.

Because Adam fell, we were taken from our special position; we became total strangers and enemies because of our bad works, and we were set apart from life. Satan´s nature perverted us completely; 1 John 3:10 says that we  are children of the devil. Indeed, there was nothing good in us, and even those considered the“purest and most innocent” couldn’t be before the Lord.

But the Lord considered our eternal suffering and loved us in such a way that He created a perfect plan of redemption to rescue us from eternal death. To do so, someone had to take our place – and because there were no righteous person among us, the only person that could save us was His son. Jesus Christ accepted to go through agony and when He died on Calvary He bought our lives back to the Father.

When He gave His life for us, the Savior reconciled our relationship, paying our debts and making us free from the fall. Now we can and should live free from filthy things, completely free and pure from any evil work. Therefore, there is no reason for a believer to give his or her life to sin. This is a terrible mistake and will lead you to destruction if you don’t repent sincerely.

We were reconciled in the body of His flesh. Now for those who believe in what Jesus did, the reconciliation with God is real. The Holy Spirit used Paul to write that all this was done to present us to God as holy, blameless and above reproach. This is where those who believe and live accordingly with the Holy Word should be. There is therefore no condemnation to these people. (Romans 8:1).

You are not going to be sanctified just for refusing sin, but for believing in the sacrifice of Jesus. You will never see the Lord unless you respond to the complete work of sanctification that He did for you (Hebrews 12:14). So don’t go after momentary things even if it seems best at the moment.  Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life (Revelation 2:10).

Allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. He will always guide you in truth, because you already are a member of the Body of Christ, and not a stranger.

In Christ, with love,
