Being confident of this very thing that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Philippians 1:6

Every time you feel touched by the preaching of the Gospel or when you read the Bible you can be certain that the Lord wishes to give you something. In other words, you must not lose sight of that goal; remember the promise, give glory to God for it and believe that He is powerful to do what He promised (Hebrews 10:23). In fact, it is in our hands the possibility of receiving what God promised to us because when He makes that promise He gives us the power to make it come true (Philippians 2:13). So, in that case, it is our duty to see it materialized.

It is not in the blink of an eye that people get to fully understand what God has in store for them. In the biblical times the revelation of the Lord was given gradually and the same happens to us today. The divine plans are not always fully revealed; the Lord only unveils the revelation when we do the work we are supposed to do. Besides, the Most High will never change the method He determined for us: to walk by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).

From the very first day when we paid heed to the preaching of the Gospel, God began the good work in us. Even though we might have turned away from Him or our faith might have grown cold, our Father has not given up on seeing us fulfil what He determined. We only have to believe in His Word and, with firmness of purpose, we must set out to accomplish what He entrusted us with. Then, the Lord will do what is necessary to make His will be done.

The Word is clear: The Most High will complete the work begun in us. That means that He does not want us to do things recklessly, but He wants His work to be flawless and done with the virtue given by Him, which is perfect to help us honor His good Name. Do not let the enemy say that you will not be able to achieve what was assigned to you, but rejoice because you will be victorious if you do His work as it was presented to you. Do not ever fulfill the commandments with laziness or imperfection because, as it is written: “Cursed is the one who does the work of the LORD recklessly!” (Jeremiah 48:10a)

The dead line for the accomplishment of the divine works is the Day of the Lord Jesus. While that day does not come God is at our disposal in order to qualify us to His service. When the Eternal One created all things He did His very best. Later on He examined the quality of His creation and He saw that “Everything He had done […] was very good” (Genesis 1:31). Prepare yourself because the Lord will analyze the things we do with His help and He will not be happy if the fruits we bear are not good. God wants excellence in our service to Him, which is why He will test all our works (I Corinthians 3:9-15).

Equip yourself spiritually and materially in order to do the work of our Master. Turn that task into your main reason for praying. Do not let the devil – who is a cheater – tell you that you will not be successful by proclaiming the truths of the Kingdom. Wake up! The Lord will complete what He began in you! The work of God in your life must be an example of the divine mastery.

In Christ, with love,
