31/05/2015 - THE MISSION OF A FAITHFULL SERVANT

After a long time, in the third year, the word of the LORD came to Elijah: "Go and present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the land." 1 Kings 18.1

When God asks who He will send, His servants should place themselves at His disposal to do His work. Elijah was tested in a time of great difficulty, but he didn’t doubt or fear what Ahab or his wife, Jezebel, could do, because nothing that was not in God’s desire was going to happen. Those who are called by the Lord must have this faith in all situations.

The mission that the Father gives us requires fidelity and boldness. For this reason, those who are cowards are not called to do it. The battle is arduous, but it is done by the Lord; therefore, our part is simply to believe. There is nothing more beautiful and gratifying than to be used by God, even in little actions. Just imagine, the great God, that can do all things, calls us to be His partners.

Even if a long time elapses or the trial becomes extremely difficult and threatening, never be influenced by the temptation to believe that God abandoned you. The enemy is master at making everything look terrible; with that, being led by fear, many abandon the ship. They say they act like that to save their skin, but they don’t think about the Scriptures, saying that the coward will face a second death (Revelations 21.8)

There are promises to be fulfilled the moment they are given to us. There are others that the Lord will grant when the time is right. However, the person that decides to practice the Word will become wise; that way, he will know when to act (Ec 8.5). To those who don’t care about what the Word says will not receive a mission from the Almighty. It is important to learn and do God’s work (2 Timothy 2.15)

Those who receive a call to fulfill the divine will should strive to do accomplish it. However, those who show they are not faithful about it will not be approved on the last day. Whoever does the will of God with excellence will be successful in their works. Everything the Lord gives you is worthy to be fulfilled; even those who are called to stay at the church door should be fearful to the Highest.

God has every kind of rain to give to the Earth. In the natural aspect, some are to wet the floor and make seeds grow. However, the Lord has showers of blessings to pour over His people. Therefore, He needs people who seek Him in favor of those who are ill, addicted, poor and sinners in general. Those who feel the divine call should be prepared to be a blessing for the generations.

Elijah was used because he obeyed. However, what will be said about you? The world needs to recognize the new Elijah’s of God. It doesn’t matter what your calling is, the Father will use you in the proportion that you give yourself to him. Start doing something for God today and see how much He loves you. His faithfulness depends only on you.

In Christ, with Love,

Great God! Like Elijah, we are also taken to fulfill your plans, therefore we should not notice the winds, for you have given us authority above all evil’s work. Therefore, we should do your work wherever You send us to and without fearing any danger.

That we may be firm in the accomplishing our duty, and act boldly, for You do not use the coward or those who are scared. Your servant needs to be unshakable at all times for You are faithful in keeping Your word concerning him.

We need Your help to not act outside Your plans, because it’s Your work, not ours. Do not let us fall in any trap of the enemy. We want to serve you at all times, and in this time of showers of blessings, we shall do much when we obey You.
