08/09/2012 - THE MOST DANGEROUS SINS

If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.

Psalm 66:18

God declares, in Jeremiah 17:9, that our heart is desperately wicked. Can you imagine what it will become if we allow sins to dwell in it? Actually many have already let it happen because out of men’s heart proceed evil thoughts, fornication, thefts, murders, adultery, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride and foolishness (Mark 7:21).

All these evil things come from within and defile a man (Mark 7:23); therefore, the best thing to do is not to give in to any of them or to any other that is not included in the aforementioned list because they will lead us towards perdition. Any wickedness, abnormalities or evil inspiration must be rebuked; otherwise the Lord won’t be able to answer any cries and prayers. And by the way, there’s nothing worse than not having the Most High’s attention.

Sin is deceptive, it is the scheme of the devil who, in a way that is more organized than we can think possible, works restlessly to cause us harm; after all, the enemy’s main goal is to take us out of the divine presence forever. Those who sin but don’t repent despise a myriad of biblical warnings and for that reason they will have no excuses on the Judgment Day. Being unaware of the Scriptures won’t exempt anybody from guilt since having the knowledge of what the Bible says is the duty of all those who call themselves Christians.

The sins committed in one’s heart are the worst since no one sees them. When someone is caught doing something wrong, shame can lead them to repentance, but if they indulge in sin secretly in their heart and manage to deceive everybody around them, then they will end up in a very complicated situation because on the Day of Reckoning even their thoughts will be publicly displayed. As a result, they will be given no choice but to head towards the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. 

Because the Most High is holy He cannot have fellowship with those who wilfully sin in their spirit; and it is precisely the reason why so many people’s prayers aren’t answered. Now, those people who sin in their hearts and don’t confess to God are actually committing another sin: they deceive themselves and try to deceive our Father.

Therefore, if you are harboring any error why don’t you confess it to the Most High and seek your deliverance from Him right now? Missing the opportunity of being delivered from hidden sins is something terribly wicked, which you should get rid of. Some people have been doing that their whole life, so see if you’re doing the same and repent before the Lord, who is faithful and righteous to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).

Sin doesn’t pay off; it’s a trap set up by the devil to oppress you in every way. Wage a serious battle in order to be delivered from all your secret sins before you get caught. As you’re cleansed from all filth you’ll notice that the wall that set you apart from the Father has been removed and that the Lord God has truly become your Friend and then He’ll be able to act freely in your life.
