And they were preaching the gospel there. Acts 14:7

Nothing is more important than preaching the good news to every creature, anywhere on the planet. This is the last order that was given by the Lord Jesus to His disciples, before He went back to heaven. Those who don’t contribute with evangelization around the globe don’t fear the Most High. This is what Christ ordered in Mark 16:15: Go into all the world. If you know the Truth, don’t take this command for granted!

The Savior didn’t tell us to go into the world doing social work, although it is beautiful and necessary. Jesus commanded us to fulfill the most noble mission: to preach the good news. He also empowers people to do community work, but those who’ve been called, forgiven and anointed by Him should preach the gospel in the four corners of the earth. Be obedient and responsible!

To ignore this order and exchange it for any other is to harm yourself. We weren’t called to teach some secular subject, but the Holy Word. Why share just positive messages if the Gospel is a lot more than that? It is great to help those with material needs, but to teach them about Jesus is what pleases the Creator.

Those who love God are involved in the Son’s work. Only those who are washed by the blood of Christ can stand before the lost ones and teach them how to be free from darkness. Paul and Barnabas were used by God to lead people to the knowledge of Truth, and that is also what Christians should aim for. Therefore, do good to whoever is in need, when it is in the power of your hand to do so (Proverbs 3:27).

We haven’t been ordained to intervene in politics, but to speak the Truth so men will be set free from evil that imprisons them. Deliverance will make you live according to the standards established by the Holy Scriptures. You will know the Lord more and more if you’re involved in His harvest. Saved ones who don’t treat evangelism of the lost as a priority will lose the love of the Father and the Son (John 14:21,23).

Your position in your secular life and in the church doesn’t matter! Participate in spreading the good news, specially to those who have never heard of the Redeemer. Wasn’t that the example that Jesus gave us when He lived on the earth? Certainly, there was guidance from heaven in everything Christ said, where He went and in His teachings. If you stopped loving God, don’t blame who led you astray, but blame yourself!

In this world, the devil leaves a universe of doctrines at our disposal. Those who aren’t in accordance with the Word are accursed (Galatians 1:8,9). I can say that giving heavenly bread to those who are hungry is essential. We will take the blame if we don’t announce what He taught us (Matthew 28:18-20). Do you realize how great is this responsibility?

In Christ, with love,

Dr. Soares

God of good news! How can we not evangelize, if Jesus commanded us to do it all over the world? We want to fulfill this command. That’s why we ask for help in wisdom and disposition, so we won’t lack anything.

We need mercy to be obedient to You. In some places we run the risk of being persecuted to death just by preaching Your Word. Give us guidance to speak of Your love in these places.

Forgive us for being fooled by modernity, when there are people who live and die without having heard of Your redeeming plan. Twenty centuries have passed and we haven’t reached the whole world yet. Have mercy, Father!
