I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake.

I John 2: 12

In a sense the spiritual life imitates the physical one. In this material world there are children, young people, grown-ups and the elderly; in The Kingdom of God there are also people in the same age range spiritually speaking. Bearing that reality in mind we can say that the newly-converted ones aren’t ready yet to face temptations and some of these people end up falling for a sin when faced with such situation. When that happens they tend to consider themselves filthy and forsaken by our Father and, often times, they go adrift.

It’s paramount for all of us to fully understand what motivated John to address particularly those “children in faith”: for them to know that, in The Name of Jesus, they can indeed attain forgiveness for their sins. Now, that was a quite wise counsel from The Holy Spirit for them not to stay away from The Lord, but for them to be able to re-establish their communion with Him instead. In case you feel yourself as trash, someone who’s not loved by God any longer, you ought to make use of this promise right now.

Forgiveness of sins is something utterly significant considering that, without it, we’d be risking being expelled from the presence of The Lord. For us to be reconciled with The Most High, His Son had to come to the world to go through suffering in our stead by dying on the cross. Therefore, considering that that has already been done there’s no reason for us to stay away from our Father now. Those who have fallen for a sin should, right now, be eager to re-establish their bond with The Almighty.

The secret is using The Name of Jesus for everything but mainly to receive the forgiveness of those errors one has committed. That Name gives power to the servants of God to cast out demons, to rebuke diseases and any other evil deeds – such as a temptation or a troubled time in one’s life – as well as attaining full forgiveness from The Lord.

Christ Himself stated that everything we asked in His Name would be done by Him Himself (John 16: 23). So, if we cry out for the forgiveness of any transgression or for the liberation from any temptation we can be certain that we’ll surely receive it considering that The Lord will certainly fulfil all of His promises. All prayers said in The Name of Jesus get a prompt answer from Him.

Don’t allow such revelation to vanish from your heart. On the contrary, every time you need forgiveness you ought to open up your mouth and your heart and pray in The Name of Jesus by asking Him for the pardon of your error. Why not call out to Him at this very moment? The Heavens are ready to receive your plea and Jesus will fulfil His Word. He’ll do whatever it takes for you to be forgiven.

The Lord God didn’t tell John to write such revelation with no purpose. He told him that to be written down because He was then thinking of that child, you, who have been induced by any temptation and, precisely for that, you need to ask for the divine forgiveness now. If you have fallen for a transgression you shouldn’t put your confession off; so, do it right now with all your faith, come closer to our Father, confess your sin by using The Name of Jesus. Thus, your request will surely be answered.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
