And the LORD said: “I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

Exodus 3: 7

On occasion we don’t fully understand the reason why we have to experience hindrances in life but the truth is that there’s a right time for The Lord to act on behalf of His beloved ones (Ecclesiastes 3: 1 to 8). If the servants of The Lord truly trusted in Him the liberation of the captive by Satan would take place instantly; in fact, the devil’s power would not even oppress them. Nevertheless, precisely for a lack of understanding many children of God sadly find themselves entrapped by the devil (Isaiah 5: 13).

Undoubtedly, our faith puts The Almighty at work but even though some Christians insist on waiting for The Most High to do something for them when they should get hands-on instead – as a matter of fact, our God expects us to take our stand as His children. When we do it we use The Name of Jesus then the divine power comes into action and fulfils our determinations.

The declaration which says that our faith causes God to act on our behalf is quite strong and true indeed. By the way, The Lord gives solutions to our problems when we introduce them to Him with faith and in The Name of The Lord Jesus. That’s exactly what our Master taught us as He told us about the widow who would daily turn to a quite ruthless judge for assistance. Although that man respected nobody nor did he fear The Lord due to her constant insistence he decided to answer her (Luke 18: 1 – 5).

Jesus told us to go all over the world to preach The Gospel to all creation (Mark 16: 15) for the great work perpetrated by Him to benefit mankind. The message we’re to preach has to be positive and with a strong conviction, so we need to let other people know that they don’t have to bear or even carry their own grieves any longer because they were already carried by The Son of God (Isaiah 53: 4).

Our duty is to teach everybody the same lessons taught by our Master: He showed how easy it was to be blessed by The Lord and that there’s not such a thing as an unsolved problem. Therefore, our message mustn’t be any different from that one otherwise we’ll be demonstrating our complete disbelief in Him. Since Christ stated that those who believe in Him would do the same works He did (John 14: 12) we then have to teach people to make their rights be respected.

In the biblical times God sent Moses in order to lead the children of Israel into physical deliverance. As for us we’ve been instructed by the message of The Gospel to make the lost reach spiritual deliverance as well; and to do so He has capacitated us with authority just like He did with Moses when He granted him power to perform His wonders. Our signs benefit other people.

We’re the deliverers of the oppressed and our tasks will always be well-successful as long as we follow the divine directions. Yet, if we keep our arms crossed those people will continue suffering the slavery imposed on them by Satan Not only do we enjoy the privilege of being ambassadors of The Lord but also the duty of doing the work just like He did in His earthly ministry.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
