The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just.

Proverbs 3: 33

A Christian who does not pay attention to the commandments of The Lord does not know how harmful they are being to themselves. Those who let themselves be carried away by a temptation and despise the divine commandment which tells us not to give room to the devil (Ephesians 4: 27) become wicked. The same goes for those people who pay no notice to God’s wake up call when He says someone needs a word of faith, a financial injection or any other kind of assistance.

The wicked cannot see any problem in doing those things condemned by The Bible; after all, they come up with a justification for everything. Some don’t give their spouse the financial support due to them and they seem not to realize that that is a wrong behaviour. Yet, to Jesus, that attitude is not correct. Some people, either by actions or omissions, even cause their spouse to commit adultery. Well, it is a good idea not to forget that we will be judged for what is written in The Holy Book!

What will happen to those spouses who have committed adultery, but have not confessed their sin yet? Some even feel guilty but they don’t tell their soul mate that they have committed such sin. Others have even come to repentance, but, out of shame, they rather not make any confession to their betrayed spouse, because that would represent the ruin of their marriage. Then, they go on telling lies to keep up the fake relationship. Yet, apart from committing adultery, those that behave that way will be accountable for two more sins: that of lies and deceit.

The Bible teaches us that it is not enough to confess to God one’s sin and that’s it! Well, that’s wrong thinking: “Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.” (Matthew 5: 23 – 25).

What live with that curse inside your house? There is no prayer whatsoever which will take such horrendous thing out of your room. Then, your body – you dwelling – will begin suffering from diseases, and then you will begin being harassed by marital infidelity, the loss of your assets, and so on and so forth even getting to the point of your destruction and your death. There will be nobody who will be willing to buy someone who, under a curse, is being offered as a slave.

Some Christians do not manage to feel a sense of accomplishment in life, and even sinners turn their backs to them. They believe that they have peace and friends, but they never get to the point of saying: “I am happy with what I have achieved”; and they cannot manage to feel the divine presence either. Yet, those who put into practice The Word of God are indeed blessed.

Those who are used to wrongdoing will do really well to themselves as long as they abandon that way and come back to The Lord. Having to share one’s house with a curse is one of the worst situations someone can ever experience; because, in this case, even living becomes quite a nuisance. Depression, today, is the lord of many people due to the simple fact that they would not respect The Word of God.

In Christ, with love,
