14/12/2011 - THE ONE WHO HELPS US IS NOT ALONE

Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is with those who uphold my life.

Psalm 54:4

We must always remember that the devil is still around, doing his work to attack us in every way. Sometimes, he uses people to cause us harm; in other occasions he uses us to offend someone. When we obey the Master, Satan goes to every length so as things do not go smoothly for us: he blows the wind, sends storms, he does all he can so that we become disheartened and think we have not been called to do God\’s work and that we lack the anointing and do not have the necessary talent to be successful. However, my brethren, in any situation remember that there is no reason to feel abandoned because God is your helper (Psalm 115:11).

The truth is that the Almighty helps all human beings, even those who are involved in sorcery and those who belong to several religions or do not believe in the existence of God because, otherwise, they would have been destroyed by the enemy. God\’s commitment in relation to men is due to the fact that all of them are His creations. Therefore we must preach the Word so that people understand why they are here and where they will go after death.

Mankind’s spiritual blindness must be healed; to that end, we need to spread the Good News to every corner of the world. However, before announcing the Gospel, we must be in communion with the Lord without forgetting that the intercession for sinners is of utmost importance. So when we speak of God\’s love, we should not do it recklessly, but with the awareness that we are being used by Him to a greater purpose than turning someone into a member of our church. If we follow the guidance of our Commander, we are soldiers in the war of good versus evil, God against the devil.

Whoever does God\’s work has the Almighty on their side – whether it is an enthusiastic evangelist who moves multitudes; someone who approaches people wherever they are to speak of God\’s love, or even someone who spends nights and mornings at the church to answer the calls of those who need guidance. Perhaps these people have never imagined that in giving assistance to others, they have the Lord with them.

My brother, before the Father, it does matter the things we do to sustain the soul of the people He puts under our ministry regardless of how many of them. Therefore, pray that the Lord will use you this way, always be faithful and content with your mission, never neglecting the needy. Having God by your side is one of the greatest rewards someone can receive. It\’s very rewarding to take time from your day to study the Word, pray and uphold someone’s soul with prayers. Remember that we must help now because in eternity no such service will be done.

In Christ with love,
