Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 118:1

Psalm 118 invites people to praise the Lord. The reason is plain: He is good at everything He thinks, plans and accomplishes. There has never been and never will be a time when He will fail to keep His Word, with the dedication and perfection of One who is an expert in what He does. Divine operations are masterpieces.

God is good in everything He says, and no false statement will come out of His mouth. So believe what He says or promises you. The Lord would never speak lies. His servants will not be confused or ashamed, but whoever does not believe in Him will regret not listening to Him. This happened in the days of Noah (1 Peter 3:20).

We can see the Lord’s goodness in the wonders He works for His servants. The work done by Jesus is the most perfect, so nothing and no one will stop Him from acting. If you have fallen into the devil’s trap, which you have no chance of getting rid of, turn to the Almighty with all your heart. Then, He will free you from this oppression. Even if everything and everyone is against you, your prayer will be answered.

Jonah had been summoned to preach in Nineveh, the capital of Assyria (Jonah 1:2), for the Most High was about to subvert and destroy that city. The prophet accepted the call, but, seeing that the Assyrians were barbarians and treated those who harassed them badly, he took the opposite direction and fled to Tarshish, a city on the Mediterranean coast, whose location may be in Spain. To accomplish this work, God prepared a fish that swallowed Jonah for three days and then threw him up on a beach. Finally, he went to Nineveh, and it´s people repented!

One may claim that this is simply a story made up to give credibility to the preaching, but that´s not true. Jesus himself confirmed the biblical account of the runaway prophet. How could anyone spend three days in the fish’s belly, without suffering any damage? The Lord is good in all His deeds, so He performed yet another one of His great wonders. Believe and live well!

The Omnipotent´s kind hope to look at us and choose us to do His will remains the same, even though the world is rapidly changing for evil. The Lord will not fail to teach us the Truth, because His loving kindness lasts forever. No matter how many the devil draws away from the Way; God will raise up for everyone who falls in transgression others who will do the divine work with love, dedication and obedience.

God remains the same today, as He was in the past (Hebrews 13:8). His loving kindness will lead us to success if we follow His guidance. We are the people chosen to represent Him in the opportunities that He brings before us. Whoever gives the Lord the lordship of their life and strives to carry out His purpose will succeed.
