For you are our glory and joy.

I Thessalonians 2:20

The Lord God called us to do the most important work of all time – the evangelization of the lost. It cannot be compared with any other humanitarian relief work done in the world. The people who help in the rescue of those who stay for hours or days under rubble caused by landslides and earthquakes do a beautiful work; the doctors who save the lives of those who suffer accidents or who are very needy also do a beautiful deed. But he who saves people from eternal perdition accomplish much more in that the work of salvation is infinitely greater and worthier than these and others that people do on earth.

For this noble task to be performed successfully, God gave us the same anointing He gave to Jesus. He sent us to deliver the lost from the enemy’s claws, but what have we done? Is it worth despising the divine command and engaging in business ventures, in illicit pleasures and illegal political activities? Why ignore the main work He told us to do? One day, we will account for the talents we have received from the Master\’s hands, and then what account will you render to God?

Sadly, we acknowledge that the Lord\’s Church has become anything but the house of God. Demons are no longer cast out and therefore the Kingdom of God does not reach the lost. We have created and given to people a religious philosophy, not the power of the Lord. Was this what He should have commanded us to do? Did He not know what He was talking about when He commanded us to preach the Gospel and use His power to heal the sick, free the oppressed and save the lost and baptize them so that they can be saved (Matthew 10:8, Mark 16:15)? Think about it.

When we preach, the fate of millions of human beings is at stake: if we preach the Truth and the power of the Lord, they will be saved; but if we minister our message with purposes of our own, their fate is eternal perdition.  Have these things moved us or are we allowing things to flow the way the enemy sees fit? Wake up, Church of Jesus! Open your eyes, children of God! You, servant of God, do what you have been told! The day will come and then what account will your render (II Corinthians 5:10)?

The apostle Paul, the great evangelist of the early Christian church, said he felt the pains of childbirth (Galatians 4:19), the pains a woman feels when in labor. It is also in pain – prayers, fasting and our own efforts – that we are used to announce the kingdom of God to the people. Has this happened to you? You have to think about it because the work of the Father, in our generation, depends solely on us. The Lord is ready to perform miracles, heal the sick, deliver the oppressed, intervene in nature, but at the same time He is limited to our will. He needs our feet, arms, mouth, and other members.

Have you thought of eternal glory and joy? The rich will not be able to take your gold nor the wise your culture, but we can take the lives that will be our glory and our joy, so we will be happy for all eternity. In the name of Jesus, no matter who you are, start doing the divine will. Do not let anyone get lost!

In Christ with love,
