Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.

Psalm 114:7

It is important to know what to do to bring God\’s presence into your life. One thing is for sure: if it were difficult, the Lord would have devised another way for everyone to benefit from this great blessing. By paying attention to and believing in the Word it is possible to have the living God in your life. With Him by your side, you will get the promise to be fulfilled.

Our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). If we believe and have the Lord\’s presence with us, we will be able to command the burning of all the evil that surrounds us. Maybe the enemy is operating for years in a person\’s life but when he or she discovers how to have the Lord by his or her side then the devil will beat a retreat. The enemy flees from those who resist him in a biblical way, so it is no use rebuking him all the time, considering that he does not go away because of your requests or orders. However, when we are taken by the holy presence and rebuke him in the Name of Jesus then he simply runs away.

When referring to Himself as the God of Jacob, the Almighty wants us to remember that He was with that patriarch because Jacob knew how to fulfill his mission and as a prince he fought until he prevailed (Genesis 32:24-25). The Lord is a God of purpose and rules, and He does what He promises. He does not act outside of what is written, not even to save someone. What was recorded in His Word has the aim of getting us to know the way to approach Him, and thus take possession of the blessing.

Although he was an heir of God, Jacob had to fight. It will not be different with you. If you do not do what you are supposed to, nothing will be done in your favor. The children of Israel had to arm themselves with weapons, set out to battle and fight with all their strength against the enemy who would destroy them in the blink of an eye. That battle was not meant for children or people who like to sit back or sleep during the storm. When they stopped fighting the Israelites were defeated and lives were lost.

You need to discover what the Word of God says about your problems and upon learning what belongs to you, fight for your rights with strength and dauntlessness. Do not trifle with the temptation that is harassing you, but rather be strong and fight it in the name of Jesus. In doing so you shall not be defeated. He who is lax in his duties does not manage to have the divine presence coming to his assistance. Do not leave your efforts for the next battle, as it may no longer exist for you.

The truth is that the material world trembles when the Lord makes Himself present. So, believe what God says and ordain with all your might, with all your heart and with all your capacity. Do not forget that a lost battle can be your last battle. So if the devil is attacking you, confront him with all your weapons. By believing in the Lord, you have His blessed presence at you side.

In Christ with Love,
