The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.    Jonah 3.5

The Word can transform men. No doubt, it is like a hammer to crush the rock. Only a hard heart, doesn’t feel moved, when exposed to His teachings. Some people won’t become converted because they love darkness more than they love the light. It is sad, but there are people that are going to the eternal destruction, because although they know what they will suffer, they act as if they were numbed.

As for the other ungodly the Word will be welcomed. When finding an adequate place for It operations, the Holy Ghost uses it for such a huge change, that, in a short time, these people are sanctified. Most assuredly, if the Holy Hammer is used under the Almighty’s direction, those people that resist today, when enlightened, they will leave the wrong way. Jonah was surprised because of the answer the ninevites gave to his message.

God knows the reason of all things, and all we have to do is announce the divine message, leaving the work to be done by Him. On several situations, the result of our preaching isn’t as immediate as Jonah’s preaching was. But, after long years, we hear that a  person who was very resistant (or apparently didn’t pay attention to the preaching of the Gospel) converted to the Lord. We are servants, and the most we can do is trust in the Almighty and fulfill our mission.

All nations deserve to listen to the sweet message of the Kingdom. For God shows no partiality (Acts 10:34). If we wish to be servants, we have to love humanity, especially those that persecute and kill our brothers and sisters. Those who don’t understand the value of a soul, are capable of wishing the death of those who oppose of Good News. This shouldn’t even go through the heart of the saved!

The fasting proclaimed by the ninevites shows that they repented.  The repentance produces attitudes, which demonstrates that the person denied Satan and got back to Jesus. The Bible says that those that repent should produce fruits worthy of their decision. Observe what God does in the heart of those whom you minister and after you see they are in the Way, don’t abandon they. While they are not mature, they may go astray.

There is no conversion without true life changing. Even if the current procedure of some is shameful, the work that God will do in them is wonderful. The sower of the Good Seed must be aware, because he will be sent to those imprisoned by the enemy. Therefore, the evangelist shouldn’t be afraid when they know how the evil one uses them, because many people obey all the suggestions and orders of the filthy one.

Prepare yourself to be an instrument in the Almighty’s hands in a way you never imagined. Then, you will see how much the Lord can operate through you. The world needs people that live the Christian faith. Thus, the lost people will abandon the error.
