02/12/2015 - The Reason for the Work of God’s Hands

But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, they will hallow My name, and hallow the Holy One of Jacob, and fear the God of Israel.  Isaiah 29.23

When Adam fell, the Lord began to work among the people. It was a foretelling of what He would abundantly do when Jesus stripped the devil of the authority he stole from man. The Master has already come and the era of miracle working has been inaugurated and is fully functional. Why would one doubt the Lord and ignore the revelation of His wonderful glory?

Both the people of God and the lost must know the deeds of the Most High, because there are those who have been saved, but unfortunately do not know what to do for the Lord to work today the same miracles he did when Jesus was on Earth. The Master Himself declared that those who believe in Him would do the same works He did, with the same power (John 14.12).

The purpose is to exalt the Name of the Lord, so that He will reign amongst us. This brings us the understanding that those who do not seek the signs and wonders do not glorify Him. Because of that the unreached will disregard the Name that is above every name (Philippians 2.9-10), which has today the same power in our lips as it had when Christ was here on Earth.

Those who glorify the Name of the Lord recognize the Creator, the Holy God. However, those who despise the power of the Most High will have to endure the suffering imposed by the devil and will not glorify the Name of the Lord. God must be recognized as the Sovereign over all the Earth, the highest Authority amongst men; the One who works in everything and in all those who pay attention to Him.

When wonders are worked in the Name of Jesus people are filled with respect for the Lord. Therefore, the more miracles the more respect He will have and He will be exalted. However, if we, God’s people, ignore the authority given us, how will the lost believe and bow before God’s goodness?

The Most High knows the relevance of working His signs amongst His people, because this will raise interest, leading many to come to Him, being delivered and surrendering to Him. He helps us understand the greatness of salvation when we see that our sins, sickness and other problems were cast upon Jesus (Isaiah 53). And so the lost will come to the Son of God for the solution of their problems and will revere Him.

Those who are spiritually lost will receive understanding; grumblers will learn the sound doctrine when they learn what they can enjoy. This is healing for the sick and solution to human kind dilemmas. When people realize what has been done for them, they will never leave the Lord.
