King Saul let himself be dominated by envy, therefore a demon would always disturb him. It is very dangerous to surrender to any temptation, for the evil spirit might obtain authorization to make your life a true hell. Saul fought to kill David, ordered to murder all the witches in Israel, but when he was desperate, he sought for a witch in En-Dor (1 Sm 28).

The mistake of this king, which was to seek the servant of the devil, has led many people to reject the biblical warnings of the danger of those who consult spirits. In my understanding, it is clear that the witch did not bring up Samuel, but a familiar demon that imitated the prophet even in the sound of his voice. There are many spirits such as this that are deceiving millions of people around the world.

There is no mistake in the Scriptures: the Almighty does not speak through people who are possessed by evil spirits or serve them. He will also not use anyone who calls himself a prophet of the Lord. Check the lives of these individuals, and you will see that they are a burden for their relatives, who pay their bills. There is nothing better than serving the only and true God and obeying to the Word’s orders (Jo 14.21).

Those who despise divine direction are known as madmen. The Lord Jesus, in a parable (Lk 12.16-21), called the rich man who thought he did not need God a madman, for he managed to gather an amount that he deemed it would last many days. On that same night, his soul was required, and what was the point of being used by the deceiving spirit? There is no other way to serve the Lord other than seeking His commandments in the Scriptures.

When you hear about someone who is greedy, you can be certain that he is also dishonest, for he changes everything to please his unorganized and insatiable appetite. He might be seen as generous, or someone who has an answer for everything. However, he speaks of what he does not know when he tries to help those who need a word coming from the heart of God. The Word is inaccessible to the greedy, for their perverse heart does not allow them to understand what is written.

There is only one way to know if you are right: believing in what the Bible declares. The Lord gave to the Church five ministerial gifts, seeking the growth of His people. Even if you consider your leader a man of God, be like those from Berea, who searched in the Scriptures daily to find out whether what Paul said was so (Ac 17.11).

Those who follow the Word do not live in sin. If you are in sin, come back running to the Father, for the enemy is already acting in you. There are no cases that justify any mistake. Understand: if your life is not according to the biblical patterns, you are not spiritually healthy, so you need to ask for forgiveness right now and return to have communion with the Lord through His Word.
