11/01/2011 - THE RIGHT WAY TO ESTABLISH ONESELF

A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the righteous cannot be moved. (Proverbs 12:3)

Deciding to be a member of the Body of Christ is not enough for you to be a winner. You have to stop acting against the principles that the Lord set forth in the Holy Scriptures. Your disrespect towards the Word of God will deprive you of your capacity to establish yourself in the spiritual world as an authority in Christ. Then, when the ordeals come, the temptations arise and hell throws itself against you, your family, your possessions, your morals and your dreams, you will not be able to use the power that belongs to you in the Name of Jesus.

Our daily actions count for much. Undoubtedly, the Christians who despise the commandments and live in a manner which is contrary to the standard established for the children of God are living in wickedness. So even if they are constantly praying, fasting and “consecrating” themselves, they will not be able to establish themselves as heirs of God and joint heirs with the Lord Jesus. All those who convert attain such position, but ignoring and despising the divine commands cause the disobedient to be deprived of their rights.

After we accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, we must watch and pray not to get involved with transgressions. The enemy will tempt us in every way; he may even cry and beg us to believe his lies; he may try, for instance, to embed in our minds that we need somebody else in our lives rather than our spouse, among other snares. Do not believe him! The Word declares that we must be holy because our God is holy (I Peter 1:16). After all, without holiness no one – neither you nor I – shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Our deeds, words, thoughts and desires, even the most secret ones, prove whether or not we respect the Most High. Whoever is being tempted must urgently pray and beg God to be delivered from this onslaught of the devil. If this temptation has been constant, kneel down at the feet of Christ and plead for deliverance.

If you are righteous – a doer of the Word of God, someone who does not yield to temptations – your root will sprout. All those who convert are grafted into the True Vine, but not all of them will sprout; only the righteous have such privilege. The others are being deceived and will repent on the Judgment Day, but then it will be too late.

God wants you to graft your root in Christ for it to sprout. He wants you to be productive in your faith and firm in His Son forever. Thus, the enemy will never be able to defeat you. When you receive your call to stand before the Lord, you will not be expelled because you will be appropriately clothed. Be watchful!

In Christ with love,
