My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.

Psalm 57:7

Even fleeing from the out-of-control rage of King Saul, David knew how to prepare his heart not to put to shame his God because he knew that the struggles which he had to face would not take The Lord by surprise at all. Our Father is aware of all the temptations that surround us and the reason why He allows them to happen is that He is training us for something bigger. The Lord cannot entrust a lot of things to someone who knows a little, that is why the person involved needs to go through a desert sort of experience, but without sinning just like it happened to our Lord Jesus.

David did not let himself be shaken by struggles. He knew that Saul’s decision of murdering him was factual, but he stood firm in the divine promises. It does not matter what the enemy might be trying to do against your life, everything he does is to spiritually kill you, and if possible, also physically. Prepare with those things written in The Holy Word and you will be victorious in the end. The devil will never defeat those who stand firm in faith.

All those things promised by The Most High are only aimed at one direction: you. There is nothing that makes you different from those people used by Him in the past except for your calling. I should not be looking forward to, for instance, being guided like Prophet Isaiah was because power belongs to The Most High, The One who gives counselling to men as He wishes, but being sure that, regarding what He has prepared for me, I will be used in a powerful manner indeed. The same must happen to anyone who fully understands and fulfils the divine plan.

Do not turn to The Lord without being well-prepared for the mission yet to be given by Him to you! The hindrances you are going through for the time being are part of the training that God is submitting you to. So, do not stay away from the divine purposes and do not be rebellious if you are being persecuted by a Saul. Our Father will fulfil what He has determined for you unless your plans get in the way of His.

David understood that what was happening to him was part of the plans from The Most High for his life; that is why he knew that he was fit to win all battles. You will also be that sure once you have overcome the assaults from the devil against your life. Do not give in to any temptation, but stand firm in what you have learnt from The Word so far.

The psalmist made it clear that he would neither cry for the tribulation nor blame The Lord for that because he knew that that was part of his training; that is why he would compose psalms for God. Do follow suit! You were called to end up being victorious in battles and that very person our Father wants to use now and in the future. The Most High was not wrong as He called you up to take part in the Body of Jesus, His Church.

Therefore, be positive at all times and do not let yourself be defeated neither by discouragement nor tiredness. God will fulfil what He had planned for you. Those who persevere till the end will see that it is worth being faithful to The Lord (Matthew 24:13).

In Christ, with love,
