Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Psalm 100:4

The gates the Psalmist refers to in this passage represent the understanding that the Lord gives us through His Word. Without these openings, we cannot enter into the divine presence and as a result we do not receive any blessings. On the other hand, when we receive the revelation that something belongs to us, we no longer need to wait for it to materialize. All we have to do is to immediately take possession of what is ours with faith and resolve.

During our journey of faith, many doors will open and they may represent a strong reproof for a sin we committed or are about to commit or they may be a statement of something that has already been done for us which is just waiting for our “yes” for us to receive it.

Notice that in this passage of the Scriptures the Lord tells us to enter the gates, as opposed to stay crying outside. If, for example, we buy a product but do not observe the instructions contained in the manual, we may have a problem and the product may not even work. Now, the manufacturer\’s guidelines were included to be followed. No one in his right mind would, for instance, question the importance of calibrating a tire pressure gauge, right? However, those who fail to do that, when driving on a slippery road or a curve will have difficulties.

We must enter the gates with songs of praise – whether known or unknown. So do not do anything different from that because in the Scriptures rebellion is compared to the sin of witchcraft (I Samuel 15:23a). What goes on in the Lord\’s heart when He sees a person invoking evil spirits is the same He feels when one of His children acts outside His guidance. By the way, that is how King Saul lost the kingdom. On the other hand the wise men follow God\’s guidance and, therefore, are always successful.

When you enter the divine presence you will feel as if you were in the Throne Room. Then God will take you to special places – into His courts – where you will be fine and will have new experiences, the Spirit will speak and you will pour your being out before the Lord. Then you will be able to understand what has gone wrong and what needs to be adjusted so that the Lord is pleased with you.

Once you are in communion with the Father, do not rush to pronounce a word. Feel the holy movement in your life and do not refuse to confess your sins or to repent of them. Tear your soul out, declaring the intents of your heart. Then you will be washed with pure water – which is the Word of God – and a new anointing will come, illuminating your mind.

Those who act this way, heeding the Lord\’s voice, will see their shackles fall to the ground and they will never stumble. So make sure you always follow the roadmap to happiness!

In Christ with Love,
