Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 2:5

The love Jesus had for the lost was so great that He did not consider the dangers, difficulties or the contempt people had. His purpose was to help them find their way to God. Those who believe in Him should do the same; after all He said that it should be that way to those who believed in His Word. The love bestowed on an individual is worth more than many sermons.

Christ did His best to please the Father, doing the mission assigned to Him by God correctly. So if we wish to please our God, we must act in accordance with the guidelines given to us, for without faith it is impossible to please the Lord (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is the ingredient that makes us walk the path which leads us to God and brings Him to us.

In order to fulfill the divine plan, Jesus consecrated Himself through prayer and never strayed from the Lord’s Word. Even if an angel comes to us with a message from the Almighty and tries to prove with signs that he was sent by Him but his words are not in agreement with the Scriptures, we can declare him accursed. In order for light to exist, there must be conformity between the Law and the testimony.

Every Christian has the same call and the same tools that Jesus had. We are urged to do the works that the Son of God did in the days of His earthly ministry. Of course there are plenty of ministries but the Holy Spirit must always guide us in accordance with what is written in the Scriptures. Once we receive the revelation of what we have to accomplish, all we have to do is believe that we already have the means.

Whoever believes in the Son of God must do the same works Jesus did. Creating new ministries, using marketing techniques, developing intricate strategies in order to fill churches with people, using instruments that were not created or used by the Lord are all works of the flesh, and the flesh profits nothing.

Do not frustrate the Lord who loved you so much He gave you salvation and the ministry of reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18). Be an obedient and faithful servant, as well as a doer of the orders given to you. One day we shall account for what we did or failed to do concerning the tasks assigned to us. No one shall be held responsible for what was not revealed to them; after all they are not supposed to guess or to discover the divine will.

Be a genuine minister of the New Testament. In so doing you will please the One who called you. Remember that we should harbor no other feeling than the feeling Christ had. The Holy Spirit would take Jesus wherever the Father wanted Him to be so that He could speak what He had been instructed to.

In Christ with Love,
