10/11/2011 - The secret of the Law of freedom

But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

James 1: 25

Our brethren in Christ that do not pay heed to the instructions contained in the Holy Bible miss out a lot. As they behave that way they cannot see that the secret is in paying heed to the perfect law and in following the other procedures given by the verse above. My brother, the Lord does not give any guidance out of the blue. Therefore, every time your understanding is enlightened and you get to understand what the Word is saying, do not put off doing what you should do: go ahead and take possession of what was revealed to you.

In the past, the Law of Moses was in force but it that law was flawed and because it did not drive men towards a position of freedom, it did not have the power to undo sin. Now, on the other hand, we have the perfect law of freedom at our disposal. It is the very Gospel itself – which is the best of God to take us out of darkness. When men add something to His doctrine they commit a huge mistake. But it does not have to be that way because in the simplicity of the law of freedom we can please the Most High and have Him by our side.

We must persevere in the Gospel revealed to us because there is no other way for us to be successful. Some people read the verse above hurriedly and think that they need to keep on fulfilling religious rules or sacrificing themselves. Only those who do not have any involvement with the Good News of Jesus Christ think that way. They tend to fast and pray to the extreme but they receive nothing in return. However, those who stick to what they understand begin living the divine operations.

You always receive from God a true treasure every time the Holy Word is revealed to you. That is why it is important for you not to be an oblivious hearer; after all, those who do not retain what is revealed to them are compared to a gold miner that found a very valuable stone but left it on the side of some road. And later, when he went back to look for it he found out that another person had already taken it.

The error many people make is that they do not pay attention to the Lord’s guidance right away. The problem is that when they leave it for later they find out that they missed the right timing of their blessing because the anointing is gone and what is left is just a vague memory of something so powerful and precious. 

Many people will be eternally lost for not understanding or for not answering the calling of the Master because they have postponed the divine issues and even when they begin to do some thinking about it they do not see much importance in what they received. My brother, do not act that way. As soon as your heart is enlightened you must do what you have been told. You can be happy at doing the work of the Lord. Therefore, choose not to be defeated. Surprise yourself by putting the Word into action and do become a doer of God’s work!
