05/05/2015 - THE SIN OF IDLE WORDS

But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. Matthew 12.36

Words have more power than we imagine. It was through them that the Lord created the Heavens and the Earth, healed the sick, freed the oppressed, and resurrected the dead. One day, He will open His mouth and will order the dead to come to live (1 Co 15.52). Then, those who were His sheep and sleep in the Lord – which certainly know His voice – will leave their graves with a smile on their faces. The Word of Christ will give them eternal life.

As the sent ones of God, we can only say what He says. Nobody should confess defeat, failure or inability. The weak must say he is strong (Jl 3.10); the sick, that he was healed by Jesus’ wounds; and those who still submit to temptations must confess that they have been cleaned by the blood of Jesus. The confession of what God tells you will give you strength to defeat the attacks from Hell, which insist in saying that you are wrong in your belief in the Lord.

The Word of the Almighty made light come out of darkness (Gen 1.1-3). It is so strong today in the mouth of the Lord as in the mouth of everyone who believes in Him. Jesus Christ, in obedience to His Father, used his words as a tool to operate the divine will. We must also do the same, or else, we will be useless. Your healing will come through the word that you pronounce in the Name of Jesus. Be strong and do not let the devil defeat you.

The idle words are the cause of our suffering. Without noticing, we have surrounded ourselves with negative waves, since we are not using our mouths in the right way. If you are God’s servant, you cannot agree with the devil, who attacks you so that you may confess that the defeat is already part of your daily life. Even if, by some mistake, you might have allowed any evil work in your life, if you start speaking like God speaks, evil will leave your life.

The idle words come from the enemy, whose purpose is to oppress your life; therefore he puts them in your mouth. Do not accept any lie from the devil, do not confess negative things, nor bow before his pressures. Be positive in the faith, for in such a way, you will make your way prosper. For those who belong to God,the old things have passed, and all has been made new (2 Co 5.17). Now, in every situation, you are more than conquerors (Rom 8.37).

Be careful with the Judgment Day, for you will be accountable for everything that you speak. Whenever you confess what the word declares, you will be rewarded, but if you let the enemy use your mouth to confess what is wrong, pernicious, and the lies from the devil, you may be accused for having allowed the evil work to abound in the world. Therefore, do not collaborate with evil. Be firm in the revelation of the Word and you will not repent.

There will be no greater joy for the righteous that, in Judgment Day, sees that his words were approved and the crown of righteousness has been given to them. He will enter eternity with the certainty that he collaborated with the Father in His redeeming work. The reward that is given to them will accompany them forever. Those who are found worthy will enjoy the best from God.

In Christ, with love,

Most High God, thank You for making us understand that our words have more power than we imagine. Since we are sent by You, we must use only Your words. Help us to never allow the enemy to dominate our tongues to speak what does not please You.

On the other hand, it is not right to avoid speaking about what we have heard and seen. When we were in darkness, Your Word enlightened us; therefore, why should we not use it to continue walking in the light? You have planned for the way of man to be enlightened by the light of Your face.

We do not want to use words that might bring us pain, evil, or all kinds of suffering; therefore, we ask you to help us never to use idle words, which beside being unproductive, they do us great harm. May we listen, in the end of days, only the voice of You welcoming us.
