25/07/2022 - THE SIN OF MURMURING

And you complained in your tents, and said, ‘Because the LORD hates us, He has brought us out of the land of Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us.  Deuteronomy 1.27

One of the most incriminating sins is that of murmuring, especially when it´s done against the Lord. Even if the situation seems difficult to be solved, only He has the solution. Remain a faithful son who never bows to temptation, but rather seeks God’s guidance to bring to an end to the works of the enemy: complete destruction. The Lord is our Winning Strength. Believe!

The murmuring began with the account of the ten spies, validating every attempt of the devil to use them. Always do the work in the Name of the Lord; thus, you won’t let the enemy put fear or anything else in you that could compromise your life. In the Name of Christ, go out to overcome any obstacle in front of you. Whoever loves the Lord wins every battle.

All of God’s deeds in favor of Jacob’s children were forgotten in the face of the bad news published by those ten men. However, the fact that the people murmured against the Lord was too much, for it showed their ungratefulness and lack of consideration. Suppose that the Most High was unable to fulfill His promises, yet the miracles they witnessed were more than they could imagine. God had no problems – they did!

Ungratefulness is one of the worst attitudes a person can have, but Jesus told us that God is so good that He blesses even the ungrateful. Christ taught us to love everyone, imitating the Almighty, who gives His gifts without discriminating against anyone: But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil (Luke 6.35). Believe and pray!

The Israelites, inside their tents, also raised their voices in complaint, saying that the Lord upset them. They spoke this about the One who loved them in a special way, bringing them out of slavery in Egypt – without one of them dying! Moreover, He led them all to victory, when Pharaoh’s army perished in the Red Sea. Mercy!

Those delivered from the Egyptian empire told such an absurd lie – by believing the spies, and not the Lord. Thus, they gave up going up and possessing the land. Was God to blame for the story of the spies? No, because He had already promised to bring them to Canaan! Instead of believing in the One who never lies, they decided to believe the weak-minded, who spoke of the Amorites as if they were stronger than the Most High. They complained without thinking. Pray!

Likewise, many people begin to believe in Darwin and his theory of evolution, opening their mouths against the Lord, saying that the record of creation is not credible. Such people commission themselves to spend eternity in the lake of fire!
