27/04/2011 - THE SUCCESSORS MUST PREPARE THEMSELVES

“Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and exalted him exceedingly.” (II Chronicles 1:1)
A successor to the throne of David was needed, so the Most High raised Solomon, a man who worked hard on his reign and while he was a king God was with him. Likewise, we must do our best in our reign, then our Father will be with us and we’ll be honored by Him.
Mankind will be extinguished if there are no successors anymore. If we consider homosexuality, for instance, we see that besides all the many condemnations it has within itself (I Corinthians 6:10), one of the most serious is that human race would be extinguished if everybody committed that type of sinful deed. However, mankind’s continuity is one of the first commandments given to men by our Creator (Genesis 1:22).
The best choice is always the one which God determines. Besides, by appointing Solomon as David’s successor, He was doing the best for His people. My brethren, through the reading of the Bible and the preaching of the Word, pay due attention to the ministry God’s handing to you. That’s the most significant gift the Almighty God is giving to humankind through your life. Those who’ve been raised by the Most High will always succeed either here on Earth or in eternity in the fulfilment of what they’ve been told. So, watch out not to let our enemy make you come up with different plans.
We mustn’t be lazy or do our job recklessly because even the intentions of our heart will be judged. We need to make the necessary effort in order to carry out God’s plans and also ask Him for more wisdom if we need more capacity. It’s not good to frustrate our Lord for failing to do our job in His amazing project. On the contrary, we have to struggle so our ministerial journey is perceived by Him as that of a faithful servant in all points.
Solomon considered the Most High as His God. That’s the secret, my brethren! Be His servant and talk to Him about everything. Your success must be a reason for a prayer as well as your failures. So, your dreams
must also be shared with our Father. Don’t abandon the rules pre-established and designed by our Creator, which are the best means to protect you and to make you successful.
Do not skimp on time when it comes to consecrating yourself to the Lord. Make Him be with you, as did the king. When your motives are subject to the divine will, the Father will be your rearward, as well as on the front line. On the other hand, if you put your dreams above the Father, you will be in an open field to be attacked by the enemy.
My brethren: God always honors those that honor Him. Therefore, may all your steps be taken in order to carry out His plans! Thus, you’ll see in the end how rewarding it is to thoroughly give yourself to the Almighty God. Your stay here on Earth is quite short-termed, but be ready to live throughout eternity by the side of the One who elected you!
