So they went out and preached that people should repent.  And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.

Mark 6: 12, 13

Repentance is the first step for a victorious spiritual life. Nobody will be able to follow Jesus or enter The Heavens without such wonderful gift. Someone’s downfall begins when hell tempts them, and if they fall for that temptation they get caught up in the hands of the enemy. Therefore, for them to be delivered from the spiritual prison they are caught up in they are to turn to God. Repentance is about leaving everything behind in order for you to obey The Word of The Lord.

Jesus apparently got frustrated in Nazareth when the people who knew Him since He was a boy did not accept Him as The Son of God. They asked themselves why those wonders they heard related to Jesus were going on. When they rejected Him He did not let Himself be carried away by pessimism but He healed some people instead by the imposition of hands and then, He went out to the surrounding villages to do the work there. Shortly afterwards He sent His disciples to do the work as well by granting them power over all evil spirits. Provided what occurred to Jesus becomes a reality in our lives as well there is no reason whatsoever for us to lose heart. With the cold answer from His contemporaries The Lord decided to do even more for The Kingdom of God. We have to act likewise whenever we face opposition.

Without the power over demons nobody will ever be successful in the completion of the true work of our Father. Those who serve God need authority to deliver the oppressed. The Lord Jesus Himself said that He had been anointed to set free the captive in the darkness. Well, people are not in sin by chance. First, a temptation comes up, once it is conceived in our heart, then comes passion, obsession and finally possession.

The disciples learnt with Jesus that the first step to take for real deliverance is repentance which means turning to God. Nobody will ever be able to be saved unless they leave sin behind; resentment; hurts; hatred and the other evil treachery. Yet, that is only possible with The Word of God being put into practice. Satan will keep under subjection those who belong to him unless they use the power they were granted to serve The Lord the same way Jesus did in His days.

It is written that those men expelled many demons, a sign that The Kingdom of God had come to that people. The same thing is to happen today: when The Kingdom reaches a person, a family or a community those evil spirits who used to oppress them must go away. When that does not take place it means that the work of The Most High is not being done.

The disciples of Jesus also anointed the people then with oil and they healed the sick. Since the Holy Spirit had not come down yet they used natural oil instead. In our ministry we grant the anointing of God to all those who hear us and then we heal them in The Name of The Lord.
