We learn many wonderful lessons from this verse! The Lord had a purpose. That’s why He used His own voice and everything went back quickly to where it was supposed to be. In the same way, when we learn in Scriptures about a promise, we should take possession of it! When Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, he asked to do the same and was able to do it. God is faithful!
When we hear God speaking through the Word, everything falls back into place. This serves as an example to us: if we are under the anointing of the Lord, we have the power to accomplish what was ordained. By obeying God, we prove that we love Him! To walk with Christ is to take upon ourselves His easy yoke and His light burden (Matthew 11:30). It means to be victorious!
The Most High had a purpose when He called us to belong to His kingdom. This plan should be followed completely, otherwise, what will we say on judgement day when we meet the One who overcame death and Hell? He gave us a mission, and if we don’t fulfill it, what will be His attitude towards us? He rebuked Peter for doubting (Matthew 14:31).
One day, when Jesus was on the shore of the Galilean Sea, they took a deaf man who could hardly speak to Him, so He would pray. Stepping away from the crowd, Jesus placed His hands on the man’s ears, spat and touched his tongue. Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed and said: “Ephphatha”, that is, “be opened” (Mark 7:34). Immediately the man’s ears were opened and the impediment of his tongue was loosed and he spoke plainly.
Let’s change our methods and be like the Master! If not, we will be ashamed on the great day. He has given us the example (John 13:15). Are we pleasing the Lord or are we making Him mad? He stretched out His hand and caught Peter, who was sinking, but He said: “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:31). Be blameless!
No one will receive the operation of divine power if they’re acting outside of what God teaches. We have only one Master to listen to, so we can’t allow people to steal from us the pleasure and the obligation of fulfilling His commandments. Whatever’s beyond the Lord’s orders comes from Satan. Don’t behave like Adam, because his mistake ruined humanity. God loves you!
If we are to do the same works as Jesus did, we should obey the Lord. Those who know God align themselves with what He says and walk in righteousness. We should never be reckless and allow other people to do the work that was destined to us. We are privileged to be a part of the body of Christ and to live in His kingdom of power!
In Christ, with love,

Lord of the voice of thunder! We see many examples in Scriptures but don’t follow them. We must repent, and that’s why we ask You to give us this wonderful gift. We don’t want to live in a careless way!
Why not listen to You, if one day, we will be held accountable for what was trusted to us? Help us to learn from You and walk with You, so we won’t lack anything. Lord have mercy!
Thank You for making us understand how to execute Your orders. We must work in the time that was determined by You! With Your help, we will be successful. We praise You, Father, for Your everlasting patience!
