21/01/2011 - THE WORD OF GOD IS NEAR YOU

But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith which we preach. (Romans 10:8)

It was decided by God that His Word would never depart from our lives and would be sent to us with the power to do what it announces. It is important to notice that there is no difference between the word that God gave His Son Jesus and the one that He gives us. However, Christ believed everything His Father said to Him. Our mistake is not to pay due attention to what He tells us. In order for the Lord to fulfill His promises it is of the utmost importance that we heed His voice.

The Word of God is not \”flying\” around us and neither does it go away when we do not give it due attention. The Word was ordered to stay so close to us that even the wind cannot pass between it and us. The Word of the Lord\’s mission is to do that for which it was intended. So, what we have to do is to take our place and determine the blessing. Whoever believes in what the Father says will see His glory (John 11:40).

Because the Word is with us, the enemy cannot touch us or resist us when we believe in it and take our position in Christ. But even if we do not ascribe to the Word the importance that the Lord determines, it will not go away, but at the same time it cannot perform the mission assigned to it. When a person receives a message from God but does not believe it or do something about it, this person is deprived of the divine operation. The truth is to never stop acting by faith that comes when we hear the Word of God. Those who despise what the Almighty speaks will undoubtedly perish.

Another important fact is that the Word of God is not only near us, but also in our mouth. It is positioned correctly, so that in a matter of seconds we can use it. When we do this we rebuke all evil fearlessly and demand its departure, which means that the Word is waiting for us to take action.

The Holy Scriptures also say that the Word is in our hearts. It is as if the Lord said that, after giving us the revelation, He comes into our house and takes over His place. So, we need not wait or wonder whether our deliverance is part of God\’s will or whether He wants to operate at that very moment or some time later. The Lord is good and there is no trace of malice in Him so He would never allow His word to be still since it has the ability to work the miracle needed.

The next time you hear the preaching of the Bible, give it all the attention because what is being ministered is the Word of Faith, which will transform your life. Upon hearing the Word, believe it.
