Remember the word to your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life. Psalm 119.49,50

The psalmist was used to teach us important lessons. He asked the Lord to remember the word that He had given him. This is a good request, because we must be thankful for the help that we receive in certain situations. When a word from the Lord comes to your life, you become the owner of that promise. The good thing is that it is not an empty promise – it brings you the power that you need to accomplish what it announces.

The message that the Scriptures give is this: wait in the word. Thus, whatever you need for the Lord’s complete operation will be given to you. In the right moment, you will feel that it is time to send evil away and to assume your blessing. Then, in a fraction of a second, your suffering is over, the problem has a solution, and you are set free, once and for all, from all evil misfortunes.

Waiting is not a passive attitude; it does not mean staying with your arms crossed waiting for your blessing. It is something active. Once you receive the promise, even if you have to wait until you have the green light, you can start demanding evil to leave. God is pleased when His children act like true heroes, fearless people, who do not accept suffering in their lives.

The promise is the consolation in your distress, the solution to your problem. Do not lose it for nothing; hold it close as if it were the board of your salvation, and then, you will be able to see the divine power being accomplished as promised by the Lord. Therefore, wait actively in the word until you feel it is the moment to take possession of it. Your faith will show the right moment to put a final end to the evil operation.

God has no other way to comfort us in affliction but through the word that he sends us. When you understand what He is telling you, just smile and go towards your final decision. You are the one who should execute the work, just like Jesus accomplished them on His days on Earth. The Master said that to do the same as He did, or even greater works, we should believe in Him (Jo 14.12). Whoever believes in the Son of God is not desperate because of anything.

The word sent by the Most High to the psalmist gave him life. It will be the same with you. When the Lord gives us the revelation of His will, He finishes His part in the miracle. He does not send us any word, but a word that is fully capable to free us from the evil attack. First, the Word gives us life with vigor and willingness, and then, when we determine that the work should be done, we put God’s power into action.

When the psalmist asks the Lord that His word might be remembered, he was recalling the Most High’s words, which strengthened and freed him from his affliction. Thus, he was revived in the faith. Try to remember what God has spoken to you, pray about it, strengthen yourself in the faith and then, send evil away.

In Christ, with love,

Marvelous Lord! We know that whenever we might be in affliction, when we see no way out and receive a word from You, we will be comforted by it. Then, our spirit will rejoice and be strengthened, and then, we will be able to rebuke all evil that attacks us.

Since You do not have a different treatment for each of Your children, we can be certain that right now, You are sending a word for each of my readers, and thus, they will be freed of their sufferings. You are our perfect Help!

Beforehand, we praise You and thank You for the favor You have given us, and at the same time, we will not forget that Your guidance is powerful to free us from every evil influence. For Your glory, we declare ourselves freed from all evil.
