Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, came prepared to continue the Lord’s work, as his father said when blessing his sons: Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity and the excellency of power (Genesis 49.3). However, because he sinned, he heard: Unstable as water, you shall not excel, because you went up to your father’s bed; then you defiled it— He went up to my couch. (Genesis 49.4). Sin brings harm. Cry out!
Because of this very serious mistake, the blessing fell on Judah, the fourth son. It was from his offspring that David was born, as well as Jesus, on the human side, because the seed came from God (Luke 3.23,34). You do not know what plan the Lord has for your life, so strive not to sin. He who does not take care of himself will be like Esau, who despised his birthright, selling it for lentil stew. Then he sought repentance and found none (Hebrews 12.17).
When blessing Judah, the father prayed that God would hear the voice of this son and bring him into His people. Now, it is clear that, because of Reuben’s transgression, another took his place (Psalm 109.8). The servants who are not alert and willingly give themselves over to iniquity will despair on the Day of Reckoning, because they will see that they have lost their bishopric. To be faithful unto death is the Lord’s command, and whoever obeys Him will receive the crown of life (Revelation 2.10). Make an effort and live!
Whoever belongs to Jesus comes from Judah. Therefore, his voice will be heard whenever he cries out. Nothing will stop us from fulfilling what was written about us. Never submit yourself to the enemy, but rather seek the knowledge of what is yours, exercise your faith, and go to the end. Otherwise, just as the blessing of the most excellent in nobility and power passed to the fourth son, it will also pass from you to another faithful one (Revelation 3.11).
No servant of God needs to worry about getting friends to pray on their behalf in order to help him in any way. After all, according to Jacob’s blessing, our hands are enough for us. See that divine foreknowledge has already placed in us the skills necessary to even break bows made of any metal (2 Samuel 22.35). The power of the Lord will lead us to destroy whatever the enemy produces to harm us. We are more than conquerors in everything. Do you believe?
Your abilities are enough for you to carry out the work. Pray to use them wisely, as God has prepared you. Your struggle is no different from that of our brothers in the past (1 Thessalonians 2.14; 1 Peter 5.9). Times change and new words are created, but the Father knows all and has equipped you to fulfill your ministry in Him. Be the faithful and prudent servant, hearing from the Lord the invitation to enter the Kingdom (Matthew 25.34). How about it?
Finally, Jacob asked the Lord to be the Help against his enemies. That is all we need. Such a petition was made under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, so we will have the help of the Father. Be prudent and steadfast, for God will never fail. He is Refuge, Strength and very present Help! (Psalm 46.1).
In Christ, with love,

God of the holy and eternal choice! Reuben did not resist the temptation and fell, losing his best opportunity as firstborn. Judah was put in his place, for he was faithful in everything. Thank You for keeping us from dangers that would cause us great harm!
Our voice will be heard when we cry out to You, and Your hand and Your love will help us at all times. Our abilities directed by You will do the work wonderfully, destroying even bows of copper or any other material.
We have been introduced into Your people, with the necessary skills to fulfill Your plan, doing what pleases You. Father, we will never go where You do not send us, but where You want us to go. Use us against our enemies!
