For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.

II Corinthians 5:2-3

The salvation brought by Jesus is completed with our acceptance of all that is conveyed to us. Thus, we cannot remove parts of the Word as if we do not need them. Everything was written to complete our faith. Those who do not care about what the Scriptures say on any subject will face problems on the day of reckoning. According to the Lord, even one jot will be fulfilled (Matthew 5:18).

We have to be clothed with all the revelations that serve as a garment to cover our spiritual nakedness. We have not been called to join a church and do what its leader wants. We are responsible for finding out what task weighs on our shoulders and fulfill it. The minister, however well intentioned, cannot invent things to keep people under his rule, but rather he should be loyal to what is written in the Word of God.

People who despise what is given to them in Christ will not be clothed with the heavenly habitation. If the Word says so, I am sure it is necessary. So the best thing to do is fulfill what is revealed in the Holy Book. In so doing, we will not have any problems on the Day of the Lord. On the other hand, those who do not give due attention to what is revealed to them will be in trouble.

Seek from the heavenly Father all that His Word has to clothe you with and you will not fear or have problems in your daily life or in the coming of the Lord Jesus. It is not difficult to abandon sin and neither is it difficult nor impossible to receive what God has for us – it\’s just a matter of believing.

This very message was not written in a haphazard way as if Paul had to pad out the letter he wrote to the brethren in Corinth. The apostle was faithful to what he was commanded to write. Peter said that some of the things the apostle Paul wrote were difficult to understand (II Peter 3:16), but because the Scriptures are revealed spiritually, all we have to do is pray for the meaning of the words we do not understand to be shown to us.

All those who converted were clothed with salvation, but if Christ should come today, they would be found naked. Why have they lost their clothes? Would it be because of the devil, the one which roars like a lion and goes about seeking whom to devour? Resist him, remain steadfast in the faith and the enemy will flee from you (James 4:7). Make sure you are clothed with the revelations given by the Lord.

We have been prepared by God Himself for eternal life, so we need to be found clothed. He gave us His Holy Spirit as a guarantee that He will fulfill His Word. So do not be fooled by the devil’s \”smooth talk\”. If you are found naked, spiritually speaking, you will miss out on what the Lord has prepared for those who are called according to His divine foreknowledge.

In Christ with Love,
