Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; incline Your ear to me; in the day that I call, answer me speedily. For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned like a hearth.
Psalm 102:2,3
David’s prayer is like a series of declarations of things that God will not do. He cannot deny His own Word, and all His promises will certainly be fulfilled. (Jeremiah 33:14) The Most High will never hide His face or deviate His attention from those who belong to Him. Therefore, when you are tempted by the evil one, do not let him convince you otherwise.
God’s face is inclined towards those who trust in Him. If it were up to Him to decide, we’d never be afflicted by the evil one’s darts. However, since we don’t always pay attention to His Word, we take His warnings for granted, and we open space for the evil one to hit us. Why do we spend so much time with worthless things and we don’t have time to read the Bible and pray?
Those who live at the feet of the Lord, honor His commandments and do their best to meet His will, have their prayers responded quickly. However, those who don’t take spiritual matters seriously and don’t follow what’s been ordained to them, open the door for the enemy to attack; when they cry out to God, their prayers aren’t responded as quickly.
God knows everything. He revealed to the psalmist that human beings’ days on the Earth are consumed like smoke; yet there’s always people who think they’re eternal. It’s sad to say that many people will look at themselves on the mirror and become desperate because they’re getting old and aren’t achieving the success they wanted in life. Unfortunately, many won’t repent because their pride deceives them.
People must wake up and seek the Lord. This way He won’t let their bones be burned like a hearth. God can and He will do whatever’s necessary to help those who are willing to be helped. Humanity is quickly walking towards eternal destruction, but now is the time for those who are wise to open their hearts and turn to the Most High, who is always ready to forgive.
If you seek the Heavenly Father, you will receive what your heart desires. This way, with the peace that fills your soul, you will be able to face all the evil forces that are against your life and your family, and you’ll be victorious. Therefore, pray what this Psalm says and receive the divine love. God wants good things for you, and He’ll always listen to you when your life is in His hands.
Make the right decision! Don’t cease to seek the one who created you. Those who rebel against the Lord shall, one day, be judged. Remember that Jesus, who’s your advocate today, will be your judge on that day. (2 Timothy 4:1) What will you do?
