“Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father”
(I Thessalonians 1:3)

One of the best things we can do is to observe the guidance we’ve been given by our God through His Word. They’re actually commandments for us to feel good and be successful. Those who fulfil what they’ve been told by the Lord are not only demonstrating their love to God, but they’re also benefited by the blessings from the Heavens. The enemy feels free to attack when we fail to listen to the divine commandments.

God always instructs us in the best way. He’s a Father and because He’s perfect and omniscient, He tells us what to do to keep our soul’s door shut for the devil in order to attain the divine blessings. That’s why it’s not good to fail to put into action the revelations we receive. The act of fulfilling the commands of the Lord causes His power to operate in our favor. Every Word He sends us is mighty.

The faith we’re granted is meant to capacitate us to act in the Name of the Lord Jesus just like He did in the Name of His Father. It comes when we pay heed to the words the Lord’s telling us. We can do the same things the Biblical heroes did in their days. They served God then and we’re serving Him now. There’s no difference between the contemporary servants of the Most High and those in the past. Each generation must listen to the divine commands and carry them out.

The love of God for us today is the same He showed towards all the past generations. Jesus fulfilled what He was told and so did the apostles, therefore we must do the same. We’ll never receive a powerless command from the Heavens and neither will a mission ever be assigned to us without authority.  When we assume the divine commandments we can be sure that we have already received everything we need to fulfil it.

We must remember the patience of hope in our Lord Jesus (I Thessalonians 1:3). We’re privileged but it doesn’t mean we’re the best. Actually those who listen to the Gospel are also privileged because they shall not come into judgment (John 5:24). That patience of hope in Christ will strengthen us for the battles we’ll have to fight. We must remember we’re soldiers sent by the greatest Commander and Strategist in the Universe (II Timothy 2:3). Therefore, follow His instructions and your success will be complete because the battles aren’t ours, they’re the Lord’s.

Don’t forget who you are before God and that He assists you in your weaknesses by empowering you for the battles. He’s the One who gives you victory!

In Christ, with love,
