A good man deals graciously and lends; he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Psalm 112: 5

Things don’t go well to some people who apparently serve God. As a matter of fact, it seems that they don’t have the divine assistance in their daily activities and even though they strive to do their job to perfection nothing seems work out right. They don’t understand that failing to fulfil the ordinances found in The Word of The Lord will cause their lives not to be favoured by the divine hand. Just like it happened to Jonah – the runaway prophet who refused to follow the direction of God – it will happen to all people whose conduct is similar to his.

The Scripture declares that he who feels sorrow for his neighbour’s troubles and offers sufficient loans is different and things always go right. It’s a good idea to focus our attention on these words – because they’re the cause of the success of some and the failure of others. The best thing to do is to be obedient to the heavenly directions considering that The Most High wouldn’t have used those words were they not utterly important and He wouldn’t have pointed them out had He not wanted to see us eating the best delicacies on earth.

Having a compassionate heart for our neighbour’s needs is good. There are many non-believers that feel sorrow for those in need. Since the Bible is a Book for men’s heart IT does instruct us, by all means, on how to be compassionate to those who are taking big steps towards their perennial doom – those who are deceived by all sorts of religious doctrines which have nothing to do with God.

Such people have become experts in teachings which don’t get them any nearer to the Lord. Some of them will never have enough of making sacrifices, penances and other unnecessary practices. The truth is that the lost aren’t in error accidentally; they’re being deceived by the worst demons ever – those who pose as angels of God but actually are engaged in causing people to continue taking attitudes condemned by The Scripture.

Those who feel sorrow for them won’t think twice to do all their best when it comes to assisting those other brothers who do the work of God the biblical manner. They consecrate their lives through fasting and prayer till they see the deceived surrendering at the feet of The Saviour. Those who have that kind of attitude become a memorial before our Father who, at the right time, will stretch His hands to pour out His blessing upon those lives.

The meaning of the verb to lend, in the context of the biblical passage above, goes beyond the fact of giving assistance – either with money or possessions – to someone who’s in debt, it’s actually about using faith on their behalf. So, the servant of God lends to other people what he receives from The Lord. And in return he gets the divine favour which causes him to make wise decisions. Therefore, don’t miss the opportunity of being always gracious to those who need your faith and that of lending them what they need. You’ll be tremendously benefited provided you’re obedient to The Most High.

Those who are obedient to The Almighty will see that they’ll always enjoy the opportunity to share with others what belongs to them according to God’s righteousness considering that He Himself will help them make the right choice. In other words, we can say they’ll have The Lord as Their Defender, as Their Attorney whenever it comes to making a decision. Now, tell me! Is it worth it or not doing what pleases our Father? Indeed it is!

In Christ, with love,
