06/03/2016 - THOSE WHO INSULT GOD

He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.    Proverbs 14.31

It is difficult to understand why a person decides to oppress those who have little resources, not only materially speaking but intellectually too. Now, if they were going through hardships, they certainly wouldn’t like to be mocked. Like Jesus taught, we must do to others what we want people to do to us (Luke 6:31). Those who are led by this sadistic spirit of humiliating a less fortunate person or with limitations will certainly pay a high price for their conduct.

Now, the oppressors insult the Lord, Creator of all people and all things. Certainly, there is nothing worse than deeply offending Him. The delight in seeing a human being suffer twice due to some sort of limitation or because they didn’t have the same opportunities that shine the path of very few, shows that those who commit such insult are in the hands of the enemy. The devil not only harms a person, but he leads other people to afflict them as well.

Do not allow Satan to use you to diminish or perish someone. Now, we must help out the disabled in whatever way possible, for that will cause the Lord to be happy with us. When God rejoices with our behavior, He becomes our strength. Those who do good are always assisted in times of need (Galatians 6:9), which doesn’t mean only a moment of shortage.

A greeting, a compliment or a recommendation is a good work, because, almost always, those who have less light and belongings are avoided by other people. Those who are excluded by society will live better if we give them a word of encouragement, or something that will attenuate their affliction. On the other hand, we must remember that those people are not inferior, they are just like us. Even if they were, it certainly wouldn’t  be right to oppress them.

Those who mock at a person who has less than we do, or those who rejoice with the calamity that struck over a person or a nation, have to be careful, for they will certainly not go unpunished. Those who ridicule a person with some kind of problem is approving what the demon is doing to that person, and at the same time, they are insulting the Lord, who has made us in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26). Wouldn’t it be better to help that person?

Abnormalities are works of the enemy and they must be fought by the servants of the Lord, but according to biblical orientations. We cannot exceed and say what comes to mind even when we reproach someone who has done something bad. Once we are sons and daughters of God, we have to speak what He says, for the Scriptures say that those that are sent by the Lord speak His words (John 3:34). Before any situation you face, always be a servant so that your mouth does not sin (Ecl 5:6).

If God is the revenger of those who have problems, how can He not be the one that blesses those who help the needy? I am certain that none of my friends will ever insult someone who has a physical of financial problem, because we all serve the Lord.

In Christ, with love,

Lord, the revenger! We cannot allow the demon of oppression to use us to afflict somebody, for any reason whatsoever. We cannot give in to the enemy in his work of stealing, killing and destroying.

It is sad to see and listen to a person commit such things. We should always be sympathetic to those who go through some trial; praying for them to overcome their problems and thus, receive Your favor and be healed.

With Your help, Your Power and Your wisdom, we will have a good word to give to all, and especially, to those who need more love and care. Thank You for making us servants of justice and ministers of the New Testament.
