But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Timothy 6:9

Many evils fascinate the human.  One of them is the desire to get rich.  As soon as this desire takes over your heart, you fall into three disastrous ways of life: in temptations, snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts. Why allow yourself to be possessed by the spirit of error, which will tempt you day and night, until you have no possibility of salvation? Even if you gain the whole world, your greatest loss will be to lose your soul!

Apparently it is only a question of making the most of the opportunities but behind all these there is Satan’s plan that was designed to submerge you in perdition.  Take this warning seriously and flee from the clutches of the devil.  God’s plan for you is the complete opposite of the devil’s aim. With the Lord you will always enjoy being in His presence; with the devil you will suffer in the lake of fire and brimstone.  When the idolatry of riches takes over, it becomes a pleasure to sin.

The ambition to have great riches dims the light of good intentions from your heart.  It is a disastrous and unhappy trade off.  When you fall into this trap which has led many children of God to surrender to the devil, the good virtues cease.  This way you move away from God’s purpose and plan for your life and peace ceases along with the respect for others.  Do not become a robot to Satan.  Continue to grow in grace, which will always provide true joy and happiness.

Those who felt the ability to become rich, millionaire or billionaire surrendered soul and body to obtain what they believed was their target and eventually was committing the worst practices which could only be conducted by someone out of their sanity.  The best is to seek the riches in glory of God: say no to temptation, be anointed to dismantle the works of the devil in you and in yours and finally be certain and sure of enjoying eternal life.

When we came to the world we brought nothing; as we leave here we also take nothing.  Why struggle and fight to possess great riches? Alas, our heart should be concerned for the greater good: salvation.  Without it, after this brief period on Earth, you or anyone else will suffer eternally in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.  However, having been saved, you will be in Glory where Truth and Holiness reign.  Consider the options and choose the best. 

Those who opt for the ambition to become rich receive a flood of bad things, such as uncontrollable desires that are maddening and evil.  In the vain struggle to accumulate more, man is capable of doing even more absurd things, from prostitution to devil worship.  Flee from this which is the worst snare that can imprison you. Surrender your way to the Lord, obey his will and commands and at the end of your days you will see that this led you to do good things and be prepared for eternal life.

Instead of falling into the clutches of the devil, fall into Divine Grace and at the end of your days you’ll say:I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (2 Timothy 4:7). What will be your destiny according to your way of living? The crown of justice given by the Lord, or condemnation?  Is it better to be a servant of God or accept the desire to get rich that is a devil’s bait?
