This is the biggest dilemma of those who consider themselves children of God: they do not fully surrender themselves to that which the Lord speaks in his Word, so they constantly live in frustration. On one hand, they see others being blessed, but when they pray they do not receive the answer they want. Without any doubt, the best thing to do is to serve the Lord with all your heart, with all your strength, and when you pray, do not allow any doubt to dwell in your heart.

The Jews considered faith as a national cause; therefore, they were unable to extract from it that which would help them out. Many times, when they were in trouble, they called upon the Lord and resorted to his promises and they were rescued. But they would soon go back to their own ways, and once again found themselves in trouble with the devil. Today this happens a lot with people who do not seek God’s glory but only the blessings he can give.

By saying that he knew the Almighty God, Jesus was teaching the basic condition to live in accordance with God’s will. We can only know the Lord through his Word. In the Scriptures, we find what we can call a “portrait of God” and when we put into action everything we learn we print his portrait on our hearts. Then we can say we truly know him.

Many people say they belong to God; but if anyone claims to belong to the Lord and practices evil or has his heart controlled by a forbidden passion, he belongs to the evil one. If you keep something hidden inside you, something that is a secret that no one should know, if you nurture filthy desires or have ulterior motives that are condemned by the Word of God, you can be sure that the Lord is no longer in you. In order to go back to belonging to him, repent, abandon sin and fear the Lord.

This is a very serious and important matter. If you cannot truly say that you belong to God, start running towards his arms in prayer, ask him to forgive you and deliver you from all attacks from the devil. Our heavenly Father is ready to forgive you and transform your life; but you must want this and get rid of your weaknesses. Why not bowing before the Lord God right now and asking him forgiveness and cleansing from your sins?

Jesus said he was sent by God. Those who have this assurance are safe in God’s hands, because he still takes care of all those who are fulfilling—with joy and faithfulness—the mission with which they were entrusted. What Jesus said is what he wants to happen to all those who are members of his body—the Church. By achieving this blessing, you will see that everything will be possible to you. How about setting this as a goal and striving towards it?
