07/09/2020 - THREE IMPORTANT VIRTUES OF THE LORD

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.  Psalm 116:5

Knowing these three virtues of the Lord will make the person who believes in Him very blessed. When she needs support to rise, she will remember that the righteous God knows her weaknesses and will support her. After all, her trust is in Him. Because he is godly, God will never despise us. Being merciful, He will never look at anyone who needs His help and will fail to do anything. The Most High truly loves His children!

It would be good if you were never in the wrong, but if you are, turn away from evil and look at the Author of life. If your faith is not firm, go back to the mustard seed lesson and it will happen as Jesus declared: If you have faith like a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain: Go from here to there, and it will pass. Nothing will be impossible for you (Mt 17.20). There are examples of people in the Bible who, because they knew the divine virtues, used them and told their experiences, so that others could also use them.

Hezekiah, king of Judah, wrote letters to the rest of the northern kingdom, which had separated from the house of David and had been destroyed by Salmaneser, ruler of Assyria. In addition, he addressed them to the tribe of Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to go to Jerusalem in order to celebrate Passover. In them, Hezekiah said: For in converting you to the LORD, your brothers and your sons will find mercy before those who took you captive and will return to this land; for the Lord your God is merciful and merciful and will not turn away from you if you turn to him (2 Chr. 30: 9). How about doing that now?

There are people considered almost perfect in the love of God, but they resent it when He proves to love the lost. This happened to Jonah when he saw that Nineveh had understood the Lord’s message and had repented. Therefore, it was not destroyed. The prophet was so disgusted when he witnessed the beautiful act of God, that he asked for his own death (Jn 4.2,3). Be watchful!

When he suffered the actions of God – for the thunder and the hail caused damage to his people, but no stone fell where the Hebrews lived -, Pharaoh called Moses and recognized that the Lord was righteous, and he and his people were sinners. The Egyptian king asked them to pray that the plague would stop. Then, he would allow the children of Israel to leave (Ex 9.27, 28). See, Pharaoh did not keep his promise, but the Almighty God remained righteous.

Before finishing his mission on earth, Moses composed a beautiful song and sang it to the ears of all Israel, saying that the Lord is the Rock, whose work is perfect, and all His ways are judgment. He further declared that God is the Truth (Deut 32.4). Later, Jesus stated this about Himself (John 14: 6). There is no injustice in Him. How good it was for the world to have people like Moses, who served God with their whole hearts!

In Psalm 145.17, David says that the Lord is just in all His ways and holy in all His works. You cannot do without this wonderful Being. Only depends on you. Therefore, seek Him, and He will let Him be found. However, if you leave Him, you will be rejected forever (1 Ch 28.9). Understand: your eternal happiness depends a lot on your attitudes! What will you do?

In Christ, with love,

Beloved Lord! We have great security in You. Although our hearts condemn us, Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You will forgive us and lift us up from the dust!

If our confidence depends on our good and perfect works, we will be lost. After all, we are standing because of Your great and perfect love. We have learned that you are godly, just and merciful. Thanks!

Now look at each of my readers. You will find nothing in us that can be perfect and holy. But because we are in Christ, we are more than conquerors, because He loved us and gave Himself for us!
