“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1)
Our joy should lie in serving the Lord because that’s what brings us blessings. So, we have to keep away from the counsel of the ungodly and be careful so as to never stand in the path of sinners nor sit in the seat of the scornful. Those who behave that way will surely be pleasing the Lord and will also be pleased by Him in return.
Those who learn how to serve God and work hard to do it to perfection will surely find out that His blessings will naturally be given to them even when not requested. In fact, all servants of the Most High will be successful in their work as long as they do it with the Lord’s permission. The doors of glory will always be opened for them and the Most High will be by their side with all His power; He’ll always be at their disposal to listen to their prayers and to assist each one of them.
We must never pay heed to any piece of counselling of the ungodly – those who are always adrift from God’s plan because they just won’t submit to Him. Well, nothing they say has to do with the divine will at all. My brethren, they’re always making mistakes and those who listen to them will also be doing so! It’s impossible to hear anything good from the mouths of those who don’t fear the Word of God. So, just ignore any advice from those people who don’t fear our Father.
Darkness is the path of the ungodly. Actually, we can’t help but walk through them, but without stopping by where they are. According to the divine warning we must keep an eye wide open; the devil will always do something to call our attention. So, it isn’t worth wasting time to give them any attention or even hang around on the path of those who are ruthless though they might be doing something apparently good or profitable or pleasant.
The scornful are empowered by our enemy and we must always rebuke them. Demons are seated at their table and everything they say or comment or even plan comes from hell. Those who seat among them or take part in their banquets or drink their wine or derive inspiration from them will surely get lost for eternity. Well, it’s the Word of God that feeds us and quenches our thirst and we’ll only be able to be successful through IT.
The verse that follows the one mentioned above tells us that we must feel pleasure in the Law of the Lord. My brethren, everything He tells us to do is for our own good. His precepts will always make us victorious at all times. So, when we keep them we’re showing that we really love the Most High above all other things. On the other hand, failing to fulfil His commandments is not only a declaration that His sovereignty over us is nonexistent but it also disqualifies us for eternal life. Meditate on the following: Those who are wise and act by faith will do all their best to please God and, as a result, will be pleased by Him as well.
In Christ, with love,
