whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, Romans 3.25

Put your attention on what the Word says about the blood of the Lamb of God. The understanding you are given will be of great value, for the Bible speaks about those who have overcome the devil:  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death (Revelation 12:11). These three facts are very important for the preservation of your salvation until the final victory.

Mankind’s entrance before the Almighty is free, provided it uses it through faith in Jesus. The long-dreamed-of and much-awaited justification of our lives has a great value now, for He died for us: Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! (Romans 5.9). This is not an option, but the only escape from the devil’s onslaughts.

Since the Lord is complete and perfect, we can believe that His decision to offer His Son for propitiation – an offering for our transgressions – is the best that could have happened. Jesus gave Himself so that we might be justified and cleared of our iniquities. Faith in His blood demonstrates that divine justice has granted full deliverance to all! God’s patience worked effectively.

If there is no sin, the application of the penalty ceases. In this way, we begin to walk before the Lord as people who cannot be held accountable. But let it be clear: the reason for this is the blood of the Savior. Divine justice worked in your favor, giving you the diploma of one who was justified. So now there is no longer any condemnation on your record (Romans 8.1). In Christ, you are redeemed from the fall and its consequences, being free indeed!

As we accept Jesus as Savior, we are washed by His blood, so, we can walk as if we have never done anything that would cause us to return to Satan’s captivity. If you have sinned, confess your mistake to God and ask forgiveness to the person from whom you have subtracted something or whom you have dishonored. Then consider yourself forgiven. Even if she is evil and says she will never forgive you – your attitude causes you to be forgiven.

The Christian who denies forgiveness to those who come to him and confess their sin is acting foolishly. Those who act this way forget that they have also been “in the red” in their life. Jesus said: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses (Mark 11.26). The Master’s guidance is to forgive up to 70 times 7 (Matthew 18:22). He is our redemption with God and our neighbor. It is good to love Him!

The Word states that the sins were committed under the patience of God: the time when He was patient with the transgressors without destroying them (Acts 17.30). This doesn’t mean that He didn’t care about such wrongdoings, but He spared them until salvation was provided for all.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares

Oh Creator of all that is good! We thank You for Jesus' proposition. He has given those who believe in Him the chance to stand before You, with the conscience that they have been cleansed of all sins. It is so good to live in freedom!

We don't have to stay away from You! We need Your affection, for we have no one to turn to or nowhere to shelter. We cannot live this way, nor let the enemy mock us. In the blood of Your Son, we have overcome the devil and death itself!

Your righteousness has delivered us from the law of sin and death, through the law of the Spirit and Life that is in Christ. Being Yours forever, we can live together with You. You are our Help, our Security. Your mighty hands guard us!
