12/05/2022 - TIL WINE INFLAMES THEM!

Woe to those who rise early in the morning, that they may follow intoxicating drink; Who continue until night, till wine inflames them! Isaiah 5:11

The Lord’s warning is not only about drunkenness and drugs – things that do great harm to people’s minds – but also about all kinds of errors. Alcoholism is a spirit from hell that dominates people in various aberrations. It all starts with curiosity, following the example of how Eve was tempted, and then oppression comes. If the oppressed does not free himself, he will become captive for the rest of his life. When the wine inflames that’s the end!

Many people are possessed by evil spirits, without realizing it. The saved, on the other hand, should watch out, because the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Now, if any person were in a place and a lion appeared, he or she would seek shelter, because to come face to face with this wild animal is certain death. The unwary ignore the danger of falling into temptation.

The alcoholic knows that he can no longer control himself, because when he wakes up, he already has a drink so that he can go to work. Sometimes he wants to be set free, but without knowing Jesus, he doesn’t know that he can be saved by Him. The Lord assured us that if He makes us free, we shall be free indeed (John 8:36). Those who cannot stop drinking or using drugs, for example, need to know that they must urgently cry out to Christ.

Dishonesty is another way that the evil one dominates lives who seek to have or use expensive things and live beyond their means, and so they get used to taking what does not belong to them. How many are spending years in jail because of this evil prison? The Gospel frees prisoners from error. To walk in Christ’s direction is to believe in His Word, use His Name against evil, and be free.

The morning should be understood as God’s time to act in humanity, but there are those who stop seeking Him. Then, when caught up in some drunkenness, this person finds herself in Satan’s hands. In this times of the Most High´s operations, the right thing is to seek Him now and not let yourself be oppressed by the enemy. However, some like sin and will linger in it until night, when no one else can work – use God’s power to set themselves free (John 9:4). Be vigilant!

Forbidden passion dominates millions around the world; it is perhaps the worst of all drunkenness. Now, how can someone who is married delude himself, thinking that another person will bring him happiness? Then, adultery becomes normal, and later, if he does not repent, the one who practices infidelity will see that it was his downfall. Why stain yourself by acting this way? Your future will be beautiful if you keep the Lord’s commandments (John 14:21).

Never let yourself be inflamed by wine; otherwise, you will no longer hear the voice of the Holy Spirit nor feel the touch of the Lord in your soul. And once you are condemned to the lake of fire, this demon who uses you in different ways will make you embrace the eternal flames. Run away from sin and come to your senses. Happiness in Heaven consists in living next to Jesus. Make the right decision today!

In Christ, with love,

God of sobriety! We don't want to get up in the morning and follow the demons sent to take us out of Your presence and put us in the lake of brimstone and fire. We desire to be in Heaven of light, holiness and love. Help us!

Why should we follow that which is not good, drunkenness, when we can spend the day in Your presence? Deliver us from this error, that we may not be sent into the abyss of damnation. Forgive us for our foolishness and give us Your peace!

We cannot insist on sin until the night comes, nor be "inflamed" by the works of darkness. We are not interested in wine, but in Your Spirit. Let us not continue in error, but deliver us from evil and eternal death. Amen!
