But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

II Thessalonians 3:3

When a Christian is filled with fear due to some temptation that comes up in his way – whether it is an illness, unemployment, threats or any other onslaught of Hell – he makes the devil feel he can destroy him. Every child of God must be aware and mindful of the doors the Lord opens in the Word to them, because there is only one thing that can cause them to lose their battles: rebellion against the Word of God. There is not the slightest possibility of those who truly trust in the Almighty to fall because they have the GREATEST and STRONGEST One dwelling in them with all His might. (Romans 8:38-39).

Another thing that needs to be pondered upon and believed is that our God will never do anything that might take away the title of faithful from Him. If He promised to be with us until the end of time – and the time has not yet ended – you can rest assured that His part in this covenant was fulfilled. Now, we have to be in compliance with His “Go” because it was after He commanded us to go around the world and preach the gospel to every creature that He made the wonderful statement according to which He would be with us until the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20).

If you are not living according to the Word, start doing it now. If you are in sin, confess it to the Lord, ask for His forgiveness; promise you will never get involved with anything that comes from the enemy and head towards victory. So do not be afraid of any of the problems that might befall your life: once you are a part of God\’s plan, you will overcome them all. Why let the devil lead your life if in so doing you only encounter bad things? Wake up, abandon sin right now and the Lord will be with you (Ephesians 5:14).

There is no use praying for the Lord to change His plans because He will not do it. He has said that He, the Lord, does not change so it is you who have to change (Malachi 3:6). If you believe in what He has spoken to you, He shall act according to His will; He will shape you so that you can successfully accomplish His plan. Don’t you think you have had enough of living without peace, perspective and direction at all? So surrender to the One who actually loves you and He will turn your life into the success that His divine heart planned.

It is true that the enemy does not quit chasing us, trying to get us out of the hands of God in order to fulfill his horrendous plan in our life, but what does it have to do with us? He can do whatever he wants but nothing shall affect us. We belong to God and our hiding place is in the One who is Lord and Almighty. The Lord ensures that the devil can create the most spectacular weapons against your life, but none of them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). So, rise up in faith and be a fearless son or daughter of the Most High.

Finally, pay heed to how the promise ends: the Lord says that He will guard you from the evil one, so why fearing or doubting? Be a victorious and obedient child. Do not pay the slightest attention to any of the threats made by the liar. Instead, trust in what the One who is Truth said and you shall be happy and out of the enemy’s reach.
