The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
Psalm 121:6
Those who observe what the Word of God says about the redeemed of the Lord and believe it will live like a superman. The Bible teaches us much about our position concerning all things. But we must take to praying, seeking revelations, taking possession of our rights and ordain the accomplishment of what we have learned. In so doing we will not be defeated in any area. All that our brothers of the past were able to achieve by serving the Lord faithfully we a can also obtain. The Lord God was not more protective of them than He is of us. The difference is that they acted appropriately and therefore they overcame. The same can happen with us.
As a matter of fact, we are more enabled to enjoy the divine blessings than the heroes of faith of biblical times. They lived before the time of the Calvary, when the devil had not yet been defeated. With us the situation is different because we live the reality of the New Testament, in which all the blessings have already been given to us (II Corinthians 1:20). The secret is to be in Christ, for in Him God gave us everything we need or will need. No Christian should let anything interfere with his peaceful and prosperous life given to him by the faith they have in Jesus.
There is no doubt that serving God is the best decision we can make. Those who rebel against the divine plan of salvation will not only spend eternity in hell, but will also lead an awful life in this evil world. Although they might thrive, be successful or belong to a wonderful family, they will not be able to enjoy peace because it is given to whom serves the Lord (John 4:27). Those who receive Jesus can have everything that abundant life can offer; however those who remain in rebellion are under the power of darkness and driven by the spirit of deception.
As a servant of God, you have to wake up in the morning and remember that however strong heat or cold might be, they do not have the power to harm us. This means that no weapon of the enemy, however extreme, will prosper against your life (Isaiah 54:17). But bear this in mind: all that the Lord declares that can be done in our favor will only come true if we claim them with faith. It is always up to us to believe and make things happen.
Once you have the revelation of the Word, you must understand that in any situation you have the obligation to be self-assured, to have the final say. He who believes in what the Scriptures state can enjoy the kind of life Jesus lived while He was in our midst. For him, there was no need left unmet. Even when the soldiers arrested Him in the garden of Gethsemane, He told Peter to put his sword in its place because if He wanted He could ask the Father to provide Him with more than 12 legions of angels (Matthew 26:53). In similar circumstances, we may have the assistance of God\’s power, necessary to deliver us. Do not let your authority be questioned. Use it when facing any temptation.
