Obeying the Lord has great consequences to those who do it, according to biblical instructions. Those who don’t pay attention to divine commandments, without knowing it, are being disconnected from divine power that protects them and walking in an open field, where the devil can cause all sorts of evil things against them. We must teach those who are new believers to respect their leaders, because that is pleasing to God!
There are worldly philosophies being taught in the pulpit which will lead many people to sink in their faith. Children of God must read the Word and live it with dedication! Although many long to do the will of God, they stumble and commit abominable things to the Lord. By doing that, they’re denying the One who saved them and prepares them to be victorious in battles. Watch and pray!
One very wrong concept has been splitting couples up: if husbands don’t give their wives what they ask for, they will be denied marital communion. I’ve counselled many couples around this subject. Some solved the problem, but others allowed the devil to take control of the situation and ended up getting a divorce. In one of these cases, the wife was so hardened that wouldn’t give up on her position. So the husband left her and their six kids.
The key thing is if we obey or not the guidance the Lord gives to His children. Without a doubt, He doesn’t want anyone to be humiliated; those who are in sin will have to pay on Judgment Day. Divine orientation serves as protection against the evil one, whose goal is to oppress and put an end to our joy, bringing eternal death to our soul. Follow the Creator’s manual!
Sarah called Abraham lord because she understood her husband was the head of the family and should be treated accordingly. The example comes from heaven: Christ is the Head of the Church, and all who are saved must surrender to Him as their Lord. Husbands are the head of the house, and because of their position, they should be honored as Scriptures declare. Husbands, in turn, should respect their wives as adjutants in guiding their family.
There are two specific instructions for wives in this verse we are studying. First: to do good, just as Jesus did when He lived on earth (Acts 10:38). Second: to not fear! By doing these two things, women will be greatly valued by God. The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands (Proverbs 14:1). God’s counsels are at your disposal so you will have a blessed family.
Young ladies should look for young men who fear God and who live according to the truth; then, pray for the one God shows. By doing that, they will enjoy a successful marriage. Young men, in the same way, should look for ladies who fear the Lord through their attitudes, and who don’t live according to the world. The heavenly Father will guide you!

Lord God! By following Your direction, man is protected from darkness, which longs to fill our homes with evil and humiliate us before others. We don’t want to make You ashamed of us!
Young Christian ladies should never look up to ladies who don’t know Jesus as their Savior, but to Your Spirit. You will lead us to success and won’t allow us to be fooled by Satan’s false promises.
Sarah is the perfect example of someone who served You. She obeyed Your servant, calling him lord, and at the same time she did good, without fearing any terror. Father! This is what You desire for Your servants so You will be glorified. Hallelujah!
