…but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. 2 Chronicles 15.4

Many times, Israel moved away from God, and automatically, all sorts of tribulations came amongst those people. This happens to any child of God, for if they move away from the Lord, the enemy does his works in their life and in the life of their relatives. Thus, even the message of God becomes discredited by the other people. When they are evangelized, they will say that they know many Christians who are full of problems in life.

The devil makes use of the gaps to fulfill his nefarious work. No matter how much the people cry out to the Most High, if they don’t convert from their evil paths and if they don’t seek God, they will remain oppressed by darkness. The error causes the transgressor to move away from the Almighty. For them to come back to the divine fellowship, they have to repent and change direction, for, without repentance, there is no remission of sins (Luke 24:47).

Just like it happens to many people today, the Israeli nation only arouse to the fact that they had to do something for the Lord to work in their favor when they were anguished. Iniquity expels God from the life of those who commit it. If the sinner does not convert, both he and the Lord will be more and more distant from each other. Of course the Holy Spirit convinces the person that they are in error, but, sadly, not all people take the right attitude of reconsidering their actions. Thus, they remain heading towards perdition.

Unfortunately, very few people understand that their errors authorize the enemy to oppress them, and besides not doing anything to get rid of the demonic captivity, because they don’t know what the faith in Jesus can do for them, they continue sinning and giving their life to the destructor. However, when they listen to the powerful Word of God all of this changes. When they believe in Christ, they open up the way for the Lord to deliver them from suffering and given them eternal life.

Someone might ask about the best way to convert. The answer is simple: as soon as the Spirit of God touches your heart. But, because of false teachings, many will not accept the divine offer and will continue under the power of the evil one. Some people only remember to seek God when they are anguished. So, if nothing happens the first time they pray, they give up interceding and say that faith is something complicated.

Those who convert turn their lives to God and live their lives according to the holy precepts, for they understand that they need to seek the Lord. However, it´s not enough just to “convert” – raise your hand and repeat a prayer said by a Christian. It is necessary to seek the Most High. Getting rid of the kingdom of darkness is the outcome of a battle where the person who is oppressed is taught how to fight.

Follow the steps of the Israelites on the verse that begins this message. Convert yourself to the Lord and seek Him with all your heart, for you will certainly find Him. He is right beside you at this moment. Believe!

In Christ, with love,

Lord, our deliverer! My prayer is for all those who are anguished, who don’t know what to do. I believe that You are the same today, just like You were in the past. Therefore, You certainly hear all those that come before You and ask forgiveness for their sins.

You watch those who are converting now, who are coming back from the crazy path they were trailing. You also help those who want a new life, and who cry out to You with all their soul, so that You can become their Deliverer. Help us, Lord!

May Your Spirit teach those who are oppressed to seek and find You, for the work done in Your name is not in vain. On the contrary, it is crowned by You as something good we have done in favor of those who still don’t know You. Thank You for using us!
