He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul, but he who is careless of his ways will die.

Proverbs 19: 16

Despising your calling is just like rendering your soul vulnerable to the enemy’s assaults and he who does not love The Lord will not be loved by Him either (I Corinthians 16: 22). The word “loved”, in that context, means “kept, delivered and protected from any assaults of the devil”. Now, the fact of accomplishing what has been given to you as a mission makes The Most High operate on your behalf whereas despising the commandments prevents the divine power from acting.

God shows you many ways for you not to fall into temptation and all of them are revelations of what is written in The Holy Word. Therefore, despising them is like digging a hole in a firewall, the one which protects you from all evil. The ways of The Lord will never be taken by the filthy one considering that The Most High is on them. That is the reason why those who walk on them will go through critical moments with their heads up as they are victorious in all battles.

In fact, the secret is never to despise any of the revelations that are granted to you. And the reason for that is that they have the power to revive your soul by empowering you with the necessary means to always win. Those who keep the commandments will never suffer any harm because the power which assures them victory comes along The Revealed Word.

Besides, holiness will keep you pure and away from the traps set up by hell for you to become its subject. Well, no temptation, however appealing it might seem can be any beneficial at all to anyone who falls for it; quite the opposite, it is the last stage of a project worked out by the enemy to strip them of their blessing. Satan utilises a myriad of demons in one single temptation which seems to be insignificant; yet, it is not.

Tithes and offerings also make a Christian’s life always blessed and prosperous. Many are not aware of that and they consciously make the decision of spending some time without making offerings and without handing back the tenth part of their income to The Lord. When they do so the devil feels satisfied since it is written that those who fail to do their duty when it comes to tithes and offerings are cursed (Malachi 3: 9). In other words, they are giving the devil free pass to operate against their lives.

On the other hand, the way towards loving God and obedience to His commandments will turn you into such a strong and such a loving person just like The Lord Himself. Those who love are loved as well. The good and divine favour will never depart from them. Yet, those who despise what has been commanded to them will be despised by The Almighty too. On top of that, not few people find themselves in that position and the worst thing is that some of them even blame The Most High for their problems.

Those who follow the divine directions will never trip over. God would never give a commandment to harm anyone or to do so for the sake of tyranny. On the contrary, His ordinances assist us and they make us feel true joy.

In Christ, with love,
