The instruction to send spies to find out if the Word of the Lord was true did not come from His heart, thus, it should never have been accepted. God’s people must never allow themselves to be led by those who lack faith. The lack of this divine ingredient will defeat us and lead us away from the Most High. Whoever does not rely on the Scriptures will lose the battle of life. Follow Jesus’ example, who responded to the devil’s temptations by quoting the Word.
On hearing the pessimistic report about the Amorites, they asked where they were going up. Moses should have given them guidance, for as a servant of God, he knew that he would receive direction from the Almighty whenever he sought Him. You cannot judge the man of God, for we do not know all things. In fact, there is only One with the power to judge, and the Israelites stopped seeking Him. They believed in the spies and not the Lord!
Now, if we live in communion with the Father, we will always be under His covering. The people complained, speaking negatively and dangerously, repeating what came out of the mouths of the spies, when they should declare the words of Caleb and Joshua, two true servants of the Most High. These showed the right direction, but those who prefer error believe in the enemy, who deceives and dominates them. Only God can deliver man from his transgressions.
The negative message, told by people and heard by those who neither fear the Lord nor trust in His Word, has great destructive power. Those who indulge in iniquities are enveloped by the spirit of error. They do not feel that they are walking into the lake of fire and brimstone, where they will be in permanent suffering. Many choose the road to death, when they should be on the road to eternal good. Be vigilant!
The Hebrews cringed when the spies reported what they had seen. Why did they believe those who were led astray by the enemy, and not the two faithful servants of the Lord? After all, God had never abandoned them or denied them help. It was time to trust the Almighty. Yet they chose to shut their ears to the One who could give them rest and a happy ending in every battle. Many closed themselves off to the good. Poor souls!
It´s possible to see the same attitude being taken by many “Christians”, because not being trained to hear the Lord, they believe in the fear that the description of some cases produces in the hearts of those who do not know the true God. The Father clearly said: And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My beloved Son. Hear Him! (Mark 9.7). Whoever listens to Jesus will never give in to the devil’s talk.
The Israelites were not to worry about what awaited them, neither if the walls reached Heaven, nor if the giants would face them: You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4.4). Believe, pray and live!

God of the good Word! We don't want to listen to the fearful, cowards, and those who don't have Your anointing, for out of their mouths will come only what is no good. We are Your people, anointed by Your Spirit. We will never go back one millimeter from our position in You!
Let the Amorites and others come! If You are in us, for You are the Greatest, we will fear nothing. Our respect will never be for the size of the enemy, but for who we are in You. We desire to do Your will; thus, we will not suffer humiliation and shame!
The Hebrews' decision to make sure that You were real was disastrous. For us, You command our lives in every circumstance. Your honor and Your praise never allowed Your servants to be confused!
