Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as if with a cart rope. Isaiah 5.18

The example of this verse comes from the skilled musicians or poets who compose double meaning lyrics, making apology for adultery, fornication and acts contrary to divine ordinances. Now, the Lord has spoken clearly: Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body (1 Corinthians 6:13).

The entertainment experts and the counseling doctors – with higher education, post-graduate, master’s, doctorate degrees – speak of sin as something pleasant. They do this by taking advantage of the innocence of many. But remember: to the Creator, these practices are unpleasant. The leaders who, out of fear of persecution, fail to warn their subordinates about this error, are unaware that those persecuted for righteousness’ sake are citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 5:10)!

This group includes film directors, theater directors, and the likes, who, in order to earn a little more, do not hesitate to corrupt many. These professionals ignore that their productions are hellish garbage. Then, those whose bodies are beautiful don’t mind simulating sensual scenes, because they serve Satan. Poor, corrupt people! Devilish greed will lead them to a terrible end.

These artists draw iniquity with cords of vanity that which does not satisfy, but rather sharpens the filthy desire of those who listen to their music, watch their movies, or observe their paintings. This is the work of the enemy, not a piece of art. The cords they produce bind them to error and will lead them to spiritual death – eternal damnation. Why lend yourselves to the devil, who is already defeated, when you can serve the Creator, who will not abandon you in the worst moments?

How many individuals have been prepared to help mankind free itself from evil deeds, but have degenerated by the fact that they produce darkness! Today, if they still remain in this world, they are in true spiritual misery, even though they have money. Jesus warns them of the danger: For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26). Mercy!

Consecrate your life to the Lord, offer your gifts, your abilities and your talents to give meaning to man’s existence, and not to lead him to damnation. Be guided by what is good and fulfill God’s plan. He who gives in to iniquity is irresponsible and afterwards, will regret it forever. Be wise, wake up while there is time, and abandon error for good. God wants you to be an overcomer.

If you must live like a pauper, do not despair. He who created all things came into the world with nowhere to lay his head: And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head” (Luke 9:58). Never say no to the Lord, but serve Him with a happy heart, without fear of being happy!
