For by You I can run against a troop; by my God I can leap over a wall. 2 Samuel 22.30

The first battle fought by David was to defeat the fearful Saul, who was not in communion with the Most High and trembled before the threat of the giant Goliath (1 Samuel 17.1-11). This king didn’t know that the throne he occupied was the Lord’s, so he let the great philistine challenge the armies of the living God. Goliath besmirched the glory of the Sovereign of Heaven and Earth, whose Name is sufficient to give victory to those who believe. It is not by might, nor by violence, that we are overcomers (Zechariah. 4:6)!

Upon presenting himself to Saul in order to wage war against the giant, Jesse´s son had to win his first fight: convincing the king to let him go. And Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” (1 Samuel 17.33). Saul knew more about the giant than he did about David! The king saw the threat to Israel, but he didn’t see the hero raised up by God!

David had to tell Saul that he was a shepherd. This made the young man look crazy or irresponsible in the eyes of the king. However, with firmness and fear of God, David reported his victory over the lion and the bear when they tried to kill one of his sheep. His exposition ended by saying that the Philistine would meet the same fate as the two daring animals. And the Lord’s servant prevailed!

When God allows us to fight against evil, He prepares us for other decisive battles for our lives and our people. The Man of War will enable the new generation to face the challenges that are yet to come upon mankind. Therefore, your decision to obey the Lord will make you strong in order to be placed in necessary situations and help many to be delivered from darkness. Be patient and obedient!

God showed His glory to the prophet Isaiah and then asked who would go for Them – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The prophet didn’t waver and answered: “Here am I! Send me.” (Isaiah 6.8). In this way, the Kingdom of Heaven saw the rise of one of the greatest and most blessed prophets. What will the Kingdom see in you?

It is a privilege to be called by the Creator to fulfill a mission! There is no greater honor than to be a servant of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Only those who lack wisdom will deny their heavenly Father the right to use them as He wishes: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2.15).

The Most High has already commissioned many people, who will not put Him to shame, but will take care of the work, even at the sacrifice of their lives. Believe: nothing will separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus (Romans 8.35-39). He gives us the assurance of victory, even before we fight. This is how the son of Jesse acted when serving the Lord.

In Christ, with love,

Father of unshakable faith! How can we be used in the work according to Your direction? We can be a blessing to the Church, as long as we act according to the Word in this noble mission. To You - be the glory!

How many times have Your people been oppressed and shamed, and Your power has given them victory? Some will always need to be awakened to become valuable servants. Prepare us! We want to be used as You wish!

Just like David - having You, we will also pass through the midst of a troop. Your servants must not miss the opportunities offered by You, nor must they fear and doubt Your holy protection. In Your Name, we will succeed!
