Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

II Corinthians 13:11

Besides all that Paul taught the brethren at Corinth, there were some teachings that should not be forgotten. Let us, then, study each of those ministrations briefly. Remember to take possession of everything you learn in the Word of God, because only those who have the commandments and keep them are the ones who love the Lord (John 14:21).

Rejoice – You should rejoice. Brethren, do not be sulky. Although the ordeals have been overwhelming and the solutions difficult to find, do not give the enemy the chance to show you his sullen face. Remember he is known as the accuser of the children of God and a liar (John 8:44). If you see no reason to rejoice, you need to read what Jesus did on your behalf. He took away your entire burden: sins, flaws, illnesses, pain, your chastisement and much more. So, isn’t it a reason to rejoice? Would you do that for someone who was not worth anything? I had no merit, so I rejoice in the Lord and in what He did for me. I can assure you: to rejoice in Him is a great good (Philippians 4.4).

Become complete- The apostle told us to become complete. So do not argue but set out hands to work. If you think it is impossible, then talk to the One who told the apostle to write such statement. Undoubtedly, the Spirit of God can help you in this matter. He will show you the door you should enter in order to achieve perfection, what must be taken out of your mind and what should be placed in your heart. God is our friend and He helps those who earnestly seek Him (Psalm 145:18). Do not be dishonest with the Lord.

Be of good comfort – To be of good comfort is a commandment. Has anyone ever done something that devastated you? Then go to the Lord and expose your pain. One of the names of the Holy Spirit is Comforter (John 14:16-17), and as such He will deal with your problem no matter how much this problem might have tarnished your character. Because He is our Creator, the Lord can heal us because He knows exactly what matter our body is made of, as well as our soul and our spirit and He knows what can disrupt us. Not to mention the fact that all things are clear and open to His eyes (Hebrews 4:13). Let the Lord treat you and you will succeed.

Be of one mind – The revelations of the Lord are the same for everyone, therefore we can be of one mind. Although we are not exactly alike and the understanding we receive is directed to us individually, we can all reach the same conclusion.

Live in peace – Another advice is for us to live in peace. Those who are always suspicious of one another and do not give to others what God has given them do not live in peace. The conflicts of the soul produce disease in the body, so you have to pray to the Lord and ask Him for help. In doing so, the God of love and peace will be with you.
