For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27.5

There are times in which it seems like evil will dominate. When everything seems to be going wrong, the secret is to keep obeying God. The enemy knows that many people will stop believing in the Lord if he resists their acts of faith. Though the evil one is burning completely, he will support it until the Christian pronounces words of condemnation, blaming the Most High for what is happening.

There is nothing better than cultivating the divine presence. This is possible through beautiful and inspiring hymns that are sung in prayer, especially with the conviction that the Lord’s determinations will not fail. Only those who live in the divine presence will be spared from the evil one’s actions. Satan can even tempt them, but will not be able to touch them (1 Jo 5.18). Those who are in the Lord are surrounded by a consuming fire.

To live in the presence of God is to think and believe in everything that the Word of God says. Never let yourself be dominated by worry, thinking that what is happening to you is something mysterious. Peter said that the trials that we go through are common to all our brethren around the world (1 Pe 5.8,9). Those who persevere will be saved, and the day of calamity will not catch our God unprepared (Ps 121.4).

Every Christian should know that in our faith in Jesus there are all the weapons that we might need (Ep 6). The Lord placed at our disposal weapons of defense and attack. Faith is an unbeatable shield. Those who live by faith will never be unprotected against the attacks of the devil. On the contrary, the tempter only needs to lift up his head so that we may eliminate him. Since faith is also a weapon of attack, as you face a threat from evil, face it.

God will hide you in His pavilion. Then, why should you be afraid because of the threats of evil, if the divine promise is to keep you in the house of the Lord? Is the enemy capable of breaking the doors of this house to strike you? Of course not! Don’t we believe in an Omniscient God, He who knows everything? Of course yes. There is nothing to fear; if you are in Christ His words are in you.

In God’s pavilion – His house – there is a secret place where the enemy will never have access. In other words, you will be allocated in a place where there is no possibility of being found. The Omnipotent is perfect in creating spaces that the enemy will have no chance of penetrating (Ps 91). Your hiding place in the Lord is good, as everything that He does. There will never be anything imperfect in the works of the Most High.

Inside this hidden place, you will be set on a high rock. Even if the devil strives to oppress you, he will not be successful. Therefore, start rejoicing. Your life is hidden in the Most High and thus, you will never be found by the enemy (Ps 25.7). The Father will always be your protection.
