Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?     Psalm 85:6

With Adam´s sin, man died spiritually and distanced himself from God. Without conversion, man cannot come close to the Lord nor obtain victory over evil. However, when man learns what to do to get out from the empire of death – accept Jesus as Savior, understanding what He did in favor of man at the cross -, he sets himself free.

God had given Adam and all of his descendents the power to rule over the birds of the skies (the demons, in the parable of the sower); the fish in the sea (water, symbol of the Word of God) and, also, the angels that do the divine work, determining whatever they wanted and they would do the work. God also gave them authority over the animals that crawl (microscopic life that cause harm to our health when in contact with us).

Along with the fall came shame. We were lords over creation and we became servants. Thus, our glory and the capacity to do the work of God was gone. However, with the work Christ accomplished in our place, the devil was stripped off the power he had taken away from us and which he used to oppress us. Now, when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we receive back the ability to accomplish whatever is necessary.

Man´s cry was for the Lord to vivify us. However, this couldn’t simply be done by decree. So, Jesus had to go through spiritual death – the separation from God, which made Him cry out on the Calvary: “My Father, My Father, why have You forsaken me?” Then, He received upon Himself our sins and sufferings. When He faced and defeated the evil one, its princes and other hellish powers, Christ was vivified, and so were we along with Him.

Through redemption, we resurrected with Christ. When we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, we received power to be like sons and daughters of God. Thus, there are no more curses over our life and nothing can prevent us from using His Name. This way, we destroy the fortresses of the enemy and other evil works. We are God´s agents!

If you are saved, the divine power is available to you. Now, if you have fallen into sin, don’t lament and think that you will never again belong to God. You just need to confess your error and you will be freed from condemnation or that which separates you from the Lord. Then, with your fellowship reestablished, become a new creation!

With vivification, we can rejoice in the Lord once again. His joy is our strength. Thus, we must not fear any battle, for we will always be victorious. If you have never thought of yourself as more powerful than the evil one, now is the time for you to believe in the Scriptures.

The stronger man defeats the strong man, who is armed and guards his own house. This stronger man is you, who believes in the Lord (Luke 11:21,22).

In Christ, with love,

God! It is good to know we can have life back and thus, go to the battles and come out victorious. After all, those who died once to sin are free from its bonds.

Today is the day for us to rise up, assume our place in Christ and be victorious. Thus, we can conquer what belongs to us, through the work accomplished by Jesus. Then, we take hold of everything that is ours.

The vivification of Jesus included us. Thus, we are at peace with You and we can enjoy of all the things You have given us. We praise You for what Your son did on the cross of Calvary and in His Name, we cast out all evil. Amen!
